I really think that we put Jesus out on the right wing as a back up for Saka. He played there for city and is more of a creator/dribbler than a goal scorer

Gabriel Jesus played some of his best football as a Right Winger at City, and Arteta often plays him there off the bench. With a lack of depth in the Right Wing position causing Saka to be borderline overplayed / playing through injuries, I think Jesus should be kept as a back up in this position moving into next season, with Havertz and a new striker (hopefully Isak) providing our options in the Number 9 role.

jesus could be kept as a back up for saka / or atleast a rotation to get him subbed off, zinchenko COULD be used as a midfield sub/back up also - as we are losing 3/4 midfielders all we would need would be a striker 1 midfielder and a back up cup keeper - which means we could spend big on 2 positions rather than needing to buy an additional rw and 2 midfielders

Jesus is a great winger, should play LW or RW, rotate with Saka, Martinelli and Trosssrd.

Patino is going mate, but I personally call for Nwaneri to replace ESR as I think he will go, rather than signing someone to be a reserve attacker (at least in terms off the number of players in the positions)

I agree for the most part across the board. Except, we should keep Zinchenko for depth, Keep Jesus and if we sign a striker, put Jesus out on the wing. Also either of Fabio or ESR should go, sell one keep the other. The rest I agree with.

Would be a huge mistake to sell Jesus. I’d use him to play off the left or right. If used on the left I think he would end up starting ahead of Martinelli eventually like Trossard did. He’s just not a striker

7:34 Saliba may be the most irreplaceable player in our squad next to rice because of the lack of players around that do what they do too the level at which they do it. Think they are more players that can do what Saka does for the team in world football because of how big the market of quality winger is

Personally I think Zinchenko was supposed to go into midfield this season but couldn’t because of Timbers injury, next year he will stay and move into the midfield to be a backup for Rice

I'd completely keep Partey. He's lost a yard of pace but our midfield looked so much better with him in it and it released Rice forward more. Partey is a great progressive passer and will be better for the break and pre-season. I'd also keep Jesus if he's okay with being a utility player (though his reason for coming here was more game time so if it doesn't suit him then just sell). He adds a direct/dribbling option that most of our players don't, makes a passable winger and works his socks off. Vieira just doesn't cut it for me. He flatters to deceive in small bursts but really is just too lightweight and not good enough as a winger/playermaker that I would feel confident were he filling in for the main player in either role with a prolonged injury.

With selling all off These, you would have to bring inn 5/6 players for next season and then your goal of «proper signings» just wouldnt happen (money wise). I think we invest in a striker, right wing (lefty) and a midfielder (bc of our two 30+ y.o. nr 6s with their fitness problems). Also there just isnt a market for a lot of These you listed, and it wouldnt be possible to replace them in one window. Definitely keep Jesus, you say how we need a backup to Saka on that RW but someone who isn't as good but can do the job if needed and that's exactly what Jesus is. Timber at LB, Rice where Partey is, Havertz where Rice is and then a solid goal scorer is needed. Keep trossard as our super sub as usually when he comes on he makes a huge impact. Honestly don't know who I would pick as a new main striker though. Not a huge amount of realistic choice

I think if we sell Jesus we have to keep nketiah, unless we sign a decent backup or something and vice versa. But I’d focus on backups in defence and midfield first. Zubimendi or someone would be perfect and somebody to cover the wide backs incase of injury’s. A striker would be nice but since January look at the goals we scored before the run in. I just think other areas first then a striker near the end.

If he can keep fit next season (quite a big if i know) then he will be a great player to have and might be able to get back to his best. Really wouldn’t sell him. I would give it another season and if he still has these knee issues by next summer then sell. Everyone else though I completely agree with 👏

Brother, there’s only 15 green dots there. You cannot challenge on all fronts with a squad as thin as this and it’s not wise to buy 7 players at once and expect them to do well instantly. I think we can keep Zinchenko, Jesus and Vieira for one more year for depth. Add a RW, a CM, a no.2 GK and Nwaneri into the team. That’s probably more reasonable moving onto next year.

Charlie P is a strange one. There is no doubt he still has potential, but he's a bit too light weight for me. I watched him Play against Bournemouth in the cup last season when Bournemouth battered them 5-0, he was terrible. He has looked alright at the poorer Championship teams he has played for. Selling Zinny?? I’m sorry mate but we need to keep him and utilise him. Obviously you don’t want to start him against, let’s say, Dembele in the CL knockout stages. But there are games when we are up against a 5-back low block and we may need to chase a goal. Then we have to sub him in at that time for extra distribution and chance creation in the midfield. As a rotation option, he’s valuable enough in my opinion to stay in the squad to start around 10 league games, be subbed on in another 10 and also, start some of the CL knockout games and cup games.
