*"cOte de iVoRy"* was how I used to pronounce it when I was in elementary school...until I learned basic French in middle. When there's an "oi" in a French word, it makes a "wa" sound, so it's pronounced "Cote d Vwar" (Cote like tote, and the d says its name) Then again, not surprised a Brit messed that up....the British-French rivalry is a tale as old as time 💀

I've been off work with covid for 8 days. I found Jack's videos during this time and spent 2 days just watching his geography videos. I love his 197 flags video and learnt most of the flags myself by osmosis and have completed the 197 flags sporcle quiz in 9:43 minutes. thanks Jack.

(4:45) At least the Nepal flag is transparent and not white, so it's all good like that. All flags are cut in a circle, so is the Nepal flag. It's only an issue when they add the white background.

The English pronunciation of Laos is with the S. But the Lao people themselves do not say the S. In Lao, they call it "ປະເທດລາວ" or Pathet Lao, which literally means "Lao Country"

Geography isn't all about countries and flags it's also about the earth itself and different landforms and other stuff, so you must have awful teachers if they teach you even less than these videos

But sadly in India geography isn't a separate subject. It comes under SST. So if you topped in geography only then also you will fail badly.

Honestly, Jack knows little. I know he’s a beginner, but how do you think Poland is smaller than Liberia? And how do you think that maybe Equatorial Guinea is bigger than Kazakhstan? How do you think a place with chilly climate that speaks Spanish is Mexico? Not every country that speaks Spanish is Mexico, yet Jack thinks so in Geogessr.
