Great idea sowing nasturtiums in hanging baskets 👍 The flowers and leaves are edible so why not have a hanging basket by the kitchen convenient for just picking a few flowers for the salad bowl.

if i start sunflowers early i plant them in water bottles, i cut the top so it can be opened to cool the mini greenhouse house down, once they’re big enough/ it’s warm enough i transfer the water bottle to plant outside, cutting out the bottom, and cutting a slit to the top, but keeping the bottle together. this protects them longer but the plastic greenhouse will be easy to remove to direct sow, i cut the top and bottom of the water bottle, cut out some notches on the bottom so water can get in….use landscape hooks to secure the bottle over where you planted the seed. This protects the seed from birds and squirrels. These methods have improved my sunflower planting.

Great video! I'm growing several of the plants you mentioned and desire to grow a few others you mentioned.🙂 My sunflowers and African marigolds make me smile. 🙂 I grow the marigolds as part of my natural medicine cabinet...my Mom-in-law has arthritis and marigold tea is supposed to help with the inflammation. She really enjoys it.🙂 My 4 Mammoths are all blooming...2 are at leat 10 feet tall so the neighbors get to enjoy them too.🙂 I also planted Mixed Color sunflowers...so lovely!🙂 The Night Scented Stock looks like what's called Star Jasmine in the US. Beautiful!🙂 Thanks for reminding us to do a second sowing of our flowers...they are so enjoyable.🙂 I really enjoy your videos and learn a lot. You hit all the flowers we plant here in US. I have a tub full of seeds that are going out today when the smoke from CN clears. It’s been trying times to garden in Z5a, WIsconsin. No rain, freak frosts, too hot, too cold. It’s almost enough to throw the towel in. We haven’t had a decent rain in over a month except a tenth of an inch. It’s ruff. Trying calendula for first time. I watered everything good yesterday, but I have a lot of new seeds in that still need watered daily. Also have a nacotiana scented flower I see came through so excited about that. I have sand and a desert like microclimate and no rain spells disaster. Trying so many new varieties this year. I tried to write them down, but after the frost and replant I gave up. There is only one problem and that’s if a squash or melon hill doesn’t produce 😮I guess I will have to wing it and throw a dart as to what to replant😊

Wow! I have been growing Night Scented Stock for years, but have never heard it mentioned before. I've ordered seeds and thankfully included Night Scented Stock & Nasturtiums - however I also ordered flowers that I think I'd be best planting later in the summer for next year... do any of the following stand out as flowers that might work: Evening Primrose, Phlox Night Scent, Forget me Not, Wallflower, Aubrieta, California Poppy, Cornflower, Linaria & Aquilegia. Again - thank you.
