I thoroughly enjoyed painting these squads up….. I love the ‘chunkyness’ of the North Star metals and they paint up nicely indeed

In skirmish games there is always an element of roleplay or story since you have individual models as distinct persons usually with personal stats and characteristics. These scupltures all lend themselves to a backstory for that figure, exactly what makes smaller scales skirmish games more enjoyable for me.

i am very intrigued by the way the attack/damage rolls have been combined in such an interesting way.

Really love the variation with these units! Gotta say a solid favorite is the french veteran monster hunter

Usually play 15mm but might be convinced to go larger for this game. Difficult to find decent Napoleonic character figures in 15mm.

Interesting sculpts and much in the way of possibilities for basing. So many options to work over that these could be given grim treatment with panache.

I honestly love how each nation’s units can have their own unique flavor. My first unit were Austrians because I wanted a half-vampire Dhampir, but I’m interested in playing a Spanish, British, or French unit next

Lovely miniatures and the setting is intriguing.

Looks real nice! Dracula’s America was a lot of fun and this fits nicely bringing that genre to Europe.

I'd like to play the British first but after that, I suspect it will be down to whatever I can get my grubby mitts on if North Star sell out as quickly as they have done in the past. Really looking forward to seeing what the next wave of releases has in store.

Cool mini’s… Santa is bringing the rules and this will be my first dive into anything historical so I’m looking forward to seeing what miniatures are out there.

I was surprised how much variety there is between the countries

The Sharpe's Sword episode character was Father Curtis, aka ex soldier El Mirador. Patrick Harper makes a deal with the Father & promises to marry Ramona for a sword, hence the episode title. I'm on my 6th re-run of this classic TV series which is available on KZfaq. I would choose the Spanish.

Good review of the figures. I find them to be a bit tad bigger than normal Perry, OG25s, Warlord and what not. I guess for a skirmish game would be fine. Love the poses and details on the sculps though.

Wish this models were in plastic so I could do a bit of conversion work, but for metal figure they all look very good and being single pierce help sell me more. 👍👍

Oh this is a harder choice than I thought it would be. I was leaning British, but the French have a lot of interesting sculpts.

Despite a general ambivalence towards the Napoleonic era as a gaming setting, this game and the associated models do excite me a fair amount.

I always think painting metals is very daunting, but when painted usually it is more gratifying that painting up plastics. I do love the looks of the Spanish!

I'm keen to see the sculpts for the Prussian and Austrian sets. Prussians will probably be my first group.

Those are beautiful miniatures. I would go with the Spanish unit because I have British and French that I can use.

Great looking miniatures a lot of character in each. I like the chunky Copplestone like look to them. I would have to go with the British force. Good paint job Gerry, 1989 GD award worthy :) I like the addition of gloss to boots and etc. nice job!

These minis look really good. Always expect a little clean up with seems and flashing, so no issues there. Maybe the poses are a bit static in the war bands, but overall great detail and would be fun to paint. I’d be hard pressed to pick a single war band!

Have a British faction of Wargames Atlantic 95th Rifles but have picked up the Spanish and can see me getting the French and Austrian as well as love those minis

French is my default go-to but I intend to have a unit from every faction at some point, likely going with British next. At some point though, I intend to make an "American" unit since I plan to bring over a campaign to the still young US. I picked up some Black Powder Native American minis for them already.

These all look so very tempting. If my wallet is very lucky, I will be able to refrain from getting EVERYTHING...

You see, normally I would jump at the British after all the years of Sharpe, Hornblower and Barry Lyndons in life but I find the Spanish particularly captivating. I also think the idea of the Spaniards fighting to defend their home from supernatural threats a little more endearing than the Brits stomping over to save the world again.

Really love the look of these, very clean sculpts. All of the sets look terrific. I know it's heresy but it's the French set that calls out to me the most. They have bags of character.

Not fond of working with metal anymore, but these have lots of character.

I like the top hats a'la Gangs of New York, so can't decide between Spanish or English. Monk vs Scottish too :)

Smaller nations would be sick

I have been thinking of making wargame counters and converting the game to a hex grid or something to avoid the price of figures but, man, winning might change that!

I don't know if I can resist until Northstar drops the Prussians, Austrian and Russian units... I like better those, but I think I'll go for two of these while I'm waiting... But which one? I thought french, to convert them into an Italian kingdom army, but the other two factions have really cool models too...

If the Austrian set doesn't include a dhampir I'll be disappointed. Well, not that much as I'm sure there are a lot of minis out that would work just fine.
