When I was a kid there was way more choices of wheels now it seems like inline hockey and rollerblading has died out and only a few brands dominate the market and we have to buy their stuff

Is 78a soft enough for 130lb lean skater on wood rink ? 72mm ok for short saker beginning?

I got a pair of Led wheels that are 90A for cruising around on streets,sidewalks and whatever else there is like wooden bridges so hopefully 90A is okay for my inline rollerblades. Do you think those are okay or should I order softer ones next time let me know.

Cole Younger it's the same thing as skateboard wheels dude if you skate concrete skatepark you use harder wheels if you cruise you use softer wheels my cruise wheels are 80A

I use 94A for outdoors and they're great. Labeda makes them. Labeda Xtreme I think they're called.

Anyone recommend different wheels on the same skate? Someone said to go with 84a for the 1st and 4th wheel and 82a for the 2nd and 3rd for an outdoor setup.
@DopeSyk
@DopeSyk 5 жыл бұрын
Whoever told you that is giving bad info. That setup will work but ONLY if the 1st/4th wheels are a softer rating than the 2nd/3rd wheels. For example.. 78A for the 1st/4th and 82A for 2nd/3rd. That setup is called the rocker. That gives grip in the front and back and speed in the middle. The way that someone told you to do it would negate all the speed you generated because the middle wheels would grip and control all your thrust. Trust me, do not do it like that.. regardless of the surface. You can do it a couple different ways. The best 2 ways in my opinion are like this.. - - softer wheels on the front 2 Harder wheels on the back 2. For example.. 74A on the front and 78A on the back two. My favorite way is to go 4 different wheel grips. 74A - 76A - 78A - 80A.. in that exact order. I play indoor.. on sport court, so that’s how I do it as far as grip rating goes. You will do the same thing for outdoor.. but you won’t be using 74A and other soft wheels. But you would still put softer wheels in front harder in back or have it gradually go up like the example I gave you. There’s a couple other ways.. but the they are VERY surface specific.. and not all outdoor or indoor rinks are the same. Hope that helped..

Do you have any advice for using a stick with tape outside. Like when I'm using a green biscuit just stick handling in concrete. Whenever i stick handle or shoot, after a while the tape wears off on the bottom. How do I avoid this?

I want to get back into playing but have not bought wheels in almost 15 years. I'm 210 and would be playing on an outdoor smooth, maybe polished? outdoor surface. I want to say 82a sounds familiar? My old Rink Rats don't say it anywhere.

neeko well I would say 74 is a bit low actually, but 76 probably would be good. Like I said, I play on plastic tiles so I don't know too much about concrete. I do know it's harder tho. And yeah, I play roller and ice hockey, and I comment alot lol

pattycakes127 it all depends of preference the harder the wheel the more they will slide out but they will last longer if you want to be able to turn well go with softer whells only downside is that they won't last that long.
