I love Judas Priest. Listening to Painkiller cover with Lovebites is exciting! Long live Lovebites and Judas Priest!

it's very hard to compare, but this cover from LOVEBITES seems fresher to me. It just has a more modern feel to it and you can see the feminine attention to detail.

My favorite band from back in the day Judas priest and my new favorite band Love bites it's just great. And again my two favorite guitar players from back in the day I guess my two favorite guitar players now. Makes me happy metal rules

I prefer Lovebites.

Only thing better from original is Halfords voice. That cant be replicated and do better than he did not in a million years. Everything else the girls did is absolutely great if not even better

Lovebites absolutely perfected this cover. For some reason Robs vocals in this song never grew on me. I still love JP and this song is fantastic but i always lean towards covers of this particular song. Up until Lovebites cover, the best cover ive heard of this was Angra's cover and even after hearing Lovebites cover im still not sure if i can crown the Lovebites cover the best cover. I really truly think its a tie between those 2 covers for me

I actually never heard the original until i heard the LB cover!! shame on me LOL I loved the Lovebites cover as soon as i heard it, the drums from Haruna are fantastic!! I like that Asami did it her way instead of trying to sound like Rob too much and she did great i think!! The guitars, even before i heard it i had a feeling they would crush this cover and they did!! Its Midori and Miyako, they always strive for perfection and never disappoint!! 🤘🐺🎸🥁🔥

Just trying to compare Lovebites vs Judas Priest says so much about the huge talent, skills and musicianship of these women. You’re right, other KZfaq “reactors” have said that Lovebites metal is melodic, easier and more pleasant for our ears. It’s kind of amazing that I like many more songs by Lovebites than Judas Priest in just six years of Lovebites’ existence.

Great comparison, actually like Asami's accent on the vocals. Rob really changed up his vocals for this song. Keep in mind sound quality wise, believe LB's video is fan-made (correct?) whereas JP's is actual music video version so it SHOULD sound better. Regarding the solo, M&M could've doubled up on it and harmonized if they wanted to...that's how F great they are. This will always be Priest's song regardless. Regarding drumming, I would take Haruna any day over any other drummer in existence, past or present, PERIOD. 🙂🐺

Oh boy, the gauntlet cover right there. No live version of this by LOVEBITES, but would love them to release an MV of this with their new bassist. A statement piece that LOVEBITES is back, ready to fight and taking no prisoners. My head-to-head score card YMMV; HARUNA 🥁⭐ vs SCOTT TRAVIS...point HARUNA. MIHO 🎸🌹vs DON AIREY...point MIHO. MIYAKO 🎸❄ and MIDORI 🎸🔥 vs TIPTON and DOWNING...so damn close, but point M&M (M&M were just cleaner IMO). Lastly, ASAMI 🎤🩰 vs HALFORD...point HALFORD. Will say I respect the hell out of ASAMI for even attempting this and she totally did this masterpiece justice. Turning her vocals into a Stratocaster in the end harmonizing with M^3 🎸❄, 🎸🔥, 🎸🌹 with that final fury from HARUNA gives me chills. Overall LOVEBITES edges out JUDAS PRIEST instrumently on every count and ASAMI rising to the occasion enough to totally carry the day.

Overall Lovebites is the best metal band in history and one of the best concernig all genres. But I put aqual between original and cover. This is the best cover of this piece. LADIES painkilled it. Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺😎🤘

WOW, cool comparison, and I like the way you broke it up into bite sized pieces. I have been a HUGE JP fan for over 40 years, far and away my favorite Metal Band from 'back in the day' (Lovebites is currently my favorite Metal Band of all time). I think this was amazingly close. Hard to rate the drums properly because the Lovebites Mix (very surprisingly) was a bit muddled after the opening drum riff (you can really tell on the outro). M&M totally nailed the original riffs, but again, the mix was too a bit muddled, and too clean for a Metal song about Destruction. The Bass wasn't really a factor because it was buried in the mix in both tracks. Vocals - Asami did a Great job, and I love the grit she put in her voice for this cover (she uses it very rarely, but it always sounds good, and I wish she would use it more) but she just doesn't have the power and grit to keep up with Rob on this sort of song. Lovebites is a very different sort of Metal Band than Judas Priest - better in most ways - but I have to give this one to Priest. Now, I've heard JP play this Live, and it was NOT perfect and had some missing/garbled notes in the solos. I suspect that M&M could recreate this track perfectly Live - it's just what they do. JMHO 🤘🐺🤘

Too close to call. Just goes to show you how awesome Lovebites is. If we compare "Aces High" to "The Crusade", then it's Lovebites all the way!

Tough choice, but as one other said..gotta give it to Lovebites on mix..(that's more of a improved tech thing) plus Midori and Miyako give it just a little of their own magic touch during the solos..Haruna "beast mode".. And may I suggest Tina S again doing Steve Vai "For the Love of God".. you'll be impressed..

The guitar solos from M&M are definitely cleaner. Talent aside (very ample on both guitarist duos) we have 30 years progress on recording technology and much better pickups . The Lovebites version sounds better

i seriously think M&M took it easy out of respect for Priest they could have blown the original out of the water with their guitar work had they wanted as much as i love Priest Midori and Miyako are from another universe when it comes to guitars

excellent content Bobb-Metal, I have to agree with you Bobb, I as well grew up with JP, but Lovebites is just too awesome, and if it wasn't for BABYMETAL, LB would be my fav band.

The original is of course the original. By definition its the best but the line is blurred. Both bands used punch in guitar solos's, I will give the nod too Lovebites in mixing and tones but yeah I'm hardcore and LoveBites is at the Top of my Food chain but imo it is as good as and better than 99% of the cover of this song I have heard. This almost reminds me of the debate in the 80's of Whether Jeff Becks Shapes of Things or Gary Moore's cover of Shapes of Things was better.

Come on, these girls are performing with much superior recording material, instruments, and studios, so the sound is bound to be more crisp, and if it isn't, it definitely means the original is better, by default. Also, we shouldn't really be doing these comparisons, as it's disrespectful to the original artists. Just focus on lovebites material, when judging them

Hard call for me . I just watched your Rolling Quartz video, I think they were a cover band and just started a couple of years ago with their own music. Maybe a future video.

The mix was a bit different, as Lovebites was a bit deeper and the drums were more upfront. JP seemed to emphasize the guitar work much more. Agreed that the leads were a bit different, but I feel that is where a band has some opportunity to deviate from the original song structure. I think JP has a bit more speed on the guitar, but LB plays a tad more melodic. I guess if one considers that both versions are quite good, then even at a tie it's a win. I'd give a slight nod to JP because they wrote the song, where LB only needed to follow.

ok sixx my honest opinion. first off i have seen priest since there first usa tour when they actually played with maiden. one of my all time favorite metal bands along with maiden and metallica. between these 3 bands i have been to over 100 of there concerts. as of the last 2 or 3 years lovebites have become my favorite band surpassing everyone like yourself. but if i give an honest score its dead even except i go with halford over asami. so there you have it. have a great day and i love your channel!!!!!!

I think it is almost even, with a slight nod to JP. Haruna's drumming is slightly better, and the guitars are slightly better with Lovebites. Vocally, Halford is amazing and can't be beat, but I do love Asami's effort and wish she would sing more like this on their own songs. I think Halford's vocals put the JP version slightly ahead of Lovebites version.

You are more courageous than I am because I have told people repeatedly I will not do a comparison between Judas Priest lovebites and death for painkiller because I don't think in good conscience I could get any of the bands 3rd place

No need to give excuses for saying Lovebites is better than Judas Priest. In sports records are made to be broken. Same idea in music. As time progresses, you have more history to listen to and draw from. In that aspect, not a fair fight, so they have to really prove it. Name me any band, and I will say Lovebites is better. No excuses. But let's not forget I still love all those bands from the past up until Lovebites, and I still find new bands today. None hit home for me like Lovebites. They are their own genre, which I've said before. I didn't want to be up past 2AM, but this was impossible not to watch now. I really enjoy the way you presented this comparison. M&M are just simply not only technically better, but they play off each other and the different tones and different styles just are amazing. They better grow old together.

I'm going to be completely honest here. I'm a huge JP fan, and I love this song. Musically, I think LoveBites sound a bit tighter. And I agree that Asami does a great job on this, but you can't top Rob when it comes to the vocals ! He is the Metal God, after all ! 🤘🤘
