I was waiting till the end to see if you would mention the metal supports underneath, because I did notice that the REP had longer ones and that made my decision, but REALLY even covered that part in this amazing comparison review!

@@NoFate247 I was VERY impressed with your review because I originally couldn’t decide between the Rouge competition bench vs the REP and the Griffin and have been watching endless KZfaq reviews of all three for over 6 hours. Eventually Garage Gym Reviews trashed the Rouge Monster Utility bench 2.0 in a comparison video against the REP Competition bench that was in your review vs the Griffin. The final video that made my decision was yours. Right off the bat I was immediately impressed with the attention to detail on every aspect between the two benches, and when you turned them over and I saw the metal supports under both I was so sure that you would not see that, and not cover it that I HAD to stay till the end of your amazing video (to say the least) so I could drop my comment on the supports under the REP being longer…… but I couldn’t stop laughing because that detail didn’t escape you! So, thank you for helping me choose the right bench. Ordering the REP tomorrow in either red or army green

FB 5000 was my first purchase from Rep and since then I've purchased an AB 3000 and PR 1100. Now I can get everything done I need to do. I went matte black on all 3. Great video. 👍🏼

Checking in. Such a great comparison. Would love to see more of these for other products like bumper plates (Titan vs. REP). Weird question, but could you swap the pads? Is the hole placement between the two pads the same?

Great question, the hole alignment is not that same, you couldn't swap the companies pads.

Im looking (on a budget) to get a bench and a rack to bench with. This video helped alot. You got any reviews for a decent, not too expensive bench rack?

Well living in Colorado makes it easy cause Rep fitness is close. Nice comparison video. The pre vs pre dark labs was cool. Maybe face off Pre's again sometime 🤔

I can’t imagine either of those benches ever breaking. That said warranties only last as long as the company. My “again faster” deadlift jack is a piece of shit, but no where to return it too. 😂 There’s going to be more and more of these Chinese import companies, and many of them are going to fail.

Great review, I was looking forward to this one. I think I would lean towards the REP bench simply because that red color is 🔥. Question for you though. I bench on an Xmark adjustable bench today. I feel like I don't NEED another bench, but I want that red REP 5000. What would you say the benefits of having a dedicated flat bench would be, & is there really enough benefit to the $200+ to add another bench that also takes more space?

Assuming space isn't an issue (if it is, stick with just the adjustable).....having both allows you to setup multiple stations for super sets, faster jumps between exersizes (flat/incline). Also, the flat bench tends to be better pad quality and no gab for benching. I was happy when I first went with both the flat and adjustable, but it is costly. Now I will say, if you get a flat comp bench, it'll retain that $200 price value for quite some time cause it'll last you 10+ years. That red is a nice change of pace huh?
