That's why the old Hammond Sk 88 was the perfect keyboard. Plenty of keys, only one board to transport, light action and not too heavy.

Great video! I keep the 88 as the controller in the studio and I have 88's at all the schools I teach at. I just prefer the piano feel. I use the Fantom G8 as my main controller at home. I agree with you about the speed on the smaller keyboards. They are so super easy to play. Take care, Sam.

Nice video! I have a Roland Fa-07 (76 keys) as a Workstation for lots of sounds (synth, strings, trumpets) and a SL88 Studio weighted (MIDI linked to Roland) where I play piano sounds (acoustic, electric..). That's pretty nice because sometimes if I want go out only with Roland I already have all my songs set up. Indeed, Fa-07 is not that bad to play the piano, really nice keybed.

i feel like 88 should be my main piano for Studio use and live. and 61 keys should be my second keyboard as a synthesizer as well because the 61 has more sounds than my Yamaha-P125.

Mr Diaz can you please do a video on how to put together a song on the roland fantom x? I have a Fantom x6 and i want to just hit the play button with out having to mute and unmute tracks every time I let people hear what I made.

My personal preference is the 49-61 keys Other times I’ll take the 25-key depending on if I want to buy the cheapest gear

I was a roadie for year in my youth and moving gear all day and night no big deal, now I'm that bucket list age and weight is major factor in decision these days. So main keyboard at home I have a RD2000 because it stays in my music room. I'm looking for a workstation that I could play out with and 76 key synth style keys are my focus all because of weight and ease of moving. Another issue with 88-key for gigging is that extra length can determine what you need to move it around in. Getting an 88-key board in a car and a amp (or two) can be an issue.

I have an FP4.. 88keys and an FA06. 61keys... Both are very different.. The FP4 has a piano action feel.. The FA06 has a plastic feel.. And not the range when you just want to play.. When I play away I take the FA06.. But I miss the scope of the FP4.... So for me it is the piano feel and scope

I have 2 76 keyboards (one as main arranger and the other as synth/seq) and a 49 keyboard as a n additional voice player and daw/pc keyboard. Well, 76 keys is closed to the 88 one as I don t like to use transposition a lot and 76 is not a lot more expensive than the 61 one. So a good average of the advantages. The only negative point for me is when you add more components to your gig without enough space in your room... then you have to reduce keyboard width to 61 or 49 by the way.

As a pianist first I can’t do without an 88 weighted keybed. Got an RD2000 and was thinking of upgrading to the Fantom 8. However got myself an F7 , because I heard the implementation of aftertouch on the 88 was pretty much flawed. F7 as second tier is e dream !! It’s a big haul out of the house with both but it’s a nice set ! Funny thing is there are some things I love on the RD as a controller that I miss on the F7 . Switching layers on and off and engaging real time control per layer for most effects is much more intuitive in some way. Hope some things trickle down to the F in updates. Last thing ; the Aftertouch in the F is also flawed . Basically unusable. Mentioned that on another channel as well but can’t emphasize it enough. This should be fixed one way or another. Never had such bad AT experience on any board. Kronos 88 , Montage 7, Kurzweil forte , studiologic controllers , motif XF , all totally fine. New Fantom AT is not . Shame at this price level
