Stella Mccartney has, I believe from day one has been a Vegan brand, she gets that from her parents, especially her late mother, Linda.

Stella McCartney isn't a vegan brand.. they still use wool and silk .. they state it is "responsibly sourced"..

Hi, Stella McCartney are not vegan i guess. Because she still uses silk and wool in her clothing lines. But her bags are 100% vegan.

@@Chinoiserie9839 and how are vegan bags better than traditional ones other than not using any animal parts? Id rather buy a second hand/thrifted leather bag than buy a new bag made of plastic, i just dont think stella mcartney bag should even be called vegan at all, plastic is still damaging natural ecosystems and the chemical use in making plastic bag are dump into rivers and lakes.

Animal skin is is super toxic treat and produce and doesn't magically "dissolve" when thrown. It's also somebody's skin 🤢

Ever heard of 100% recycled pu leather or plant based leather? Most vegan brands (not the general brands that use faux leather) make their products using either of those two materials

There’s no such thing as ethically sourced leather. At the end of the day, the animal is still getting killed for their skin. Leather isn’t so much more environmentally friendly than you think it is.

There are new non-leather alternatives called Mylo and Mirum that bag manufacturers are beginning to use. Stella McCartney already has a Mylo bag out that is made out of mycelium. These types of plastic-free materials have a lower carbon footprint than factory-farmed cows.

Corn skin, cork, pineapple skin, apple skin, etc
