Thank you for the honest review. I have been in this hobby for ages but for decades relied on a marantz 7200 ki that i listened to in class a and a pair of paradigm studio 20 v3.0. The sound was rich, full, warm with muscle, bass full for such a small standmount speaker... but also lacking clarity, one dimensional (same depth and breadth whatever the music you played), little instrument separation, perhaps constrained at the higher frequencies... Last year I decided to sell it and bought a rotel a11 tribute and focal arias 906. I definitely got a more audiophile perspective, detail, soundstage and instrument separation but also a sound that is generally "smaller", less room filling, feels like you listen to equipment not being there where the music happens. I can now change/ upgrade one of the two and think a better amp will be more rewarding - i had the opportunity to listen to the tribute with the lumina 2s and got a similar sense of "smallness". I have made a list including the two amps you reviewed here plus the rotel a14 mk2, the audiolab 7000a, the atoll in100se, and denon pma1700ne. Big problem is listening to these in the Netherlands is a full time job that i really dont have time for. May i please ask for your thoughts and advice? Thanks in advance.

Cambridge makes fantastic sounding amps. Even their budget line. I have a cxr200 and it's better than the majority mid tier stand alone amps and far better than any avr should be. Buy a cxr200 used if you want amazing sound. The extra fluff is long in the tooth but will be top choice is sound is your #1 priority. Run it bi amped if your speakers have the capability giving a legit 240 watts per side.

Thank you, you mean Edge Nq + Edge W i think, cause Edge NQ is only a preamp, it's depends which speakers are going to drive..

The internals of the Musical Fidelity M3si look very budget and a bit sloppy. And I wonder how they measure that 80 watts of power because the transformer looks small.
