Sadly, Tesla has gone backwards in several areas: 1) No driver display - WHY?? 2) Removed sonic sensors - WHY?? 3) Still no camera surround view - WHY?? 4) Removal of steering wheel stalks - WHY?? Customers have been literally screaming at Elon to bring these features back or add them. These are the very reasons why I have not bought a Tesla yet.

The removal of steering wheel stalks is their biggest mistake. In Europe we constantly use roundabouts, which means your steering wheel is typically In a 45-90 degree angle when you need to signal ‘right’. That’s problematic when your steering wheel is rotated and reverses/rotates the buttons. It’s simply dangerous and it should not be allowed by law to have these controls on the wheel itself IMHO. The HUD comment I don’t understand - model 3 and Y never had it and differentiates it with the S/X. I hate not having it (currently driving an S) but I can adapt. Sensors: Tesla has shown that a pure camera system is now better VS a mix of sensors. Not worried about that. I’m more pissed off that I can’t transfer Autopilot that I’ve paid for but turned out to be nothing more than adaptive cruisecontrol with lane switching for all these years.

I canceled my order of a 2023 Model Y because I felt it would be soon outdated with Juniper 😮. I'll wait with my 2016 Model S! You didn't talk about hifi improvement (very important for me).

I bought my wife the 2023 and she’s happy. I thought of waiting for the 2024 until I heard that the release date was for October 2024. We are both retired and no longer need the longer range. I also refuse to play the iPhone game. I have an iPhone 14 do I really need the 15. Yes some of the features are better on the 2024 model Y. But then the 2025 will probably be better and then the 2026.

Likewise. I leased MYLR March 2021 with the reasoning of purchasing a new MYLR in March 2024 with the 4680 battery. After seeing this KZfaq, I want the new refresh also. I hope it will be ready by the time I need to order before returning my leased Y.

Same here - along with the bad design decisions made with the Model 3 and Model Y, having to wait for Tesla to fix these issues as well having to wait so long to pre-order a Highland or Juniper is very frustrating. I may have to go with the BMW or Audi EV.

Heads up display is a must for Tesla to incorporate into its Model Y. A dual motor system with a fixed magnet motor and an induction motor like in the Cybertruck could help the weight of the model y.

Just want to chime in on the seniors and a Model 3. I can only speak for myself on this. I have just gotten a rental Tesla Model 3. I wanted to know how this car would work for me. I do like the bright headlights for night driving. I do not like the all glass roof. I live in Tucson with temps still at 100 degrees. The roof bakes your head no matter how fast you turn up the blower. I also do not like the one pedal driving. For myself I find it dangerous. I am over 70 years old and am used to letting the car coast in a many cases. The Prius that I usually drive allows this, but it is in the shop due to someone running into the side of me. I was expecting the battery range to be more than it is. My friend has a Nissan Leaf and it gets better miles per charge than the Tesla. One other thing I don't care for in the Tesla, is that everything has to be done using the tremendously large screen in the center of the dash. This means that now I have to take my eyes off the road to see what speed I am going. Without at least a few control knobs it is hard to turn the fan speed up and down and if I have my flash drive music plugged in I also have to take my eyes off the road to adjust things. I was all excited to be able to test drive a Tesla, but I am sadly disappointed in the vehicle. Oh one last thing, for us older people the Tesla is too hard to get and out of (too low to the ground). These are only my opinions of the vehicle.

I just turned 78 and I have a Tesla Y which gives me a little more ease on getting in and out over the 3 which is way too low to the ground .I don’t do too many trips with it so I’m not worried about the charge time even though it’s not too bad the suspension on the new 24 models Y should improve the ride , because it is a little rough, but not bad it’s kind of sporty. I love my Y I plug it in at home and it’s ready to go. it takes a little longer to get used to driving this car. It’s not for everybody but once you get used to it, it’s fantastic, degenerative breaking. The acceleration is intoxicating. I googled how many moving parts in the ICE cars compared to the electric cars and the electric cars has 200 moving compared to the ICE car that has 2000 parts. I love not having to put gasoline in my car anymore and smell the odor of gasoline, and not polluting like ice car do. There is a learning curve. But no time you’ll find how easy it is.

Would it possible for Tesla to allow preorders for the 2024 Model Y just like it did for the CyberTruck since price, configuration and production time of the Juniper upgrade is more or less predicable? Personally, I would downplay even a third of the sale price. Thanks!
