Great review! I am very impressed and happy to see the D6000 perform like this, A BASS MONSTER! The difference in measurements is huge. Having a pair set up nicely would be endgame for most people. Output below 70 Hz and especially below 20hz is world class IMO, and so important in todays AV content. Combined with the App, it is just a Winner!!! (I will be over for a demo!)

SVS has never been the budget leader IMHO, but you also get their amazing build quality, warranty, return policies, and customer service. I’m in the US though and I agree the SVS pricing in Canada makes no sense. I’ve been using dual Monolith 15’s now for 5+ years and love them. They were $1999 shipped to my door after tax, etc for both. The good old days…

@@desertplanet3320 Well thank you, but I just try to bring products to light that I think will benefit the community. Uber expensive products only benefit a small niche group of people. Sure, expensive products are cool to see, but don't really benefit those who don't have the budget to waste on luxuries like that. Big name brands get all kids of reviews on line, and there is nothing wrong with that either, I have covered a lot them myself. But I do love showing the community something that is new, exciting and that provides a stunning value.

Now contemplating to either go dual pb 2000 pro or get one of d6000 and use it along the pb 2000 pro n see how it goes and later sell the pb for a dual d6000. What are your views on that? Just a bit skeptical bout audio/bass quality and seems too good to be true that it outperforms the pb16ultra. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good afternoon Barrett, I got the PB 3000 per your review and your recommendation a few months back when you reviewed it. I have know complaints because it was an upgrade over the Klipsch spl 150 that's still at audio advice sense December because the amp went out and they're still repairing it. That's another story but my question is will the tonewinner work well with the PB 3000 if I wanted to add it to my home theater setup?
@SpecOfTech
@SpecOfTech 11 ай бұрын
It's too bad the Tonewinner D6000 didn't really exist yet when I released yet when I released the review on the PB3000. The PB3000 still has great performance and is a respectable subwoofer though, I won't take that from them. You can run into integration troubles when using 2 different subwoofers with 2 different tunings. That said, it isn't impossible to integrate them but often it will take some work. For the most part, and generally speaking, it is always best/easier, to pair identical subwoofers together. You could always try to pair them, and if it doesn't work, you could sell the PB3000 and get a second D6000. Just an option to think about.

Thank you so much for this video. I’m planning on upgrading from my x3 pb2000 pros. I’m really considering the Tonewinner but I have a question you might have some knowledge on. See I’ve also been looking at PSA 18” 1900w rms subs for around $1500 each. The driver size and power rating seems too good to be true. What am I missing here?
@SpecOfTech
@SpecOfTech 11 ай бұрын
I am not sure what he has going on there. I stopped paying attention to PSA subwoofers. They are a good value, but when something looks too good to be true it usually is. I had dual PSA TV3612's in the past. They measured nice and flat, even down to the low octaves, but they lacked authority in the low frequencies. You could measure the low frequencies, just couldn't really feel them...it was weird. They also didn't have the SPL I was expecting for having 4 18" drivers in ported boxes. I am not trying to knock them, I know there are guys out there that love them...they just aren't for me anymore.

Actually Barrett svs did increase the price of the pb-3000 in the United States during covid and they never went back down. They used to be 1399 I know because I bought two pre covid for that price.
@SpecOfTech
@SpecOfTech 11 ай бұрын
Yeah it's too bad that prices went up, and of course inevitably, will never come back down. But, that price increase during COVID happened in Canada as well. The price increase that I was referring too, was one that just happened a few months back. It was a 20% increase across the board of SVS products and it was only in Canada. That is why you can see the vast difference in US priced SVS product vs Canadian priced SVS products. Of course we do lose some due to the exchange as well, but the exchange doesn't account for the vast difference alone. You'll notice with other products, the pricing from US to Canadian is pretty accurately accounted for by the exchange rate...well not with SVS anymore. It's a shame, because it tells us that SVS doesn't really value the Canadian consumer. Good thing there are other companies like Tonewinner that want our business.

Ask questions before purchasing. What are the “certain conditions” The price is excellent, but there has to be areas where they cut to offer such performance at that cost. 36 month warranty vs 60 months from SVS. You also pay for shipping on the return. We are so confident in the quality of the D6000 that we offer a generous 45-day trial period. If, within this time frame, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it under certain conditions. We believe in providing peace of mind to our customers, which is why we also offer a 3-year warranty on the driver and amplifier, as well as a 5-year warranty against manufacturer defects in the cabinet.

Compression is when the DSP is compressing the signal because the subwoofer is at it's limits, at least at those frequencies.
