Dankie mfana, thanks for this episode. I think most Pirate supporters may agree with the roles you mentioned. We should also agree that we need a strong bench. Players most know that they need to produce quality performances to remain on a strating 11. But I really hope that Pirates will get Aziz Ki. He's an exceptional #10. Very real talent.

We need a winger that can give similar outcome like Mofokeng Because Saleng , Otladisa are not wingers that are consistent that will win you the league....another thing a deep line midfielder that will play those deep passes to penetrate more rather only relying on our no.10 only to be creative what next season they find a way to block Rele and Tito and we need another Goalkeeper as elite as Williams or Goss [Same profile] ball, playing and good distribution

Fair shouts, though I disagree on Saleng 🙆‍♂️ stats have him as our most consistent, impactful player… I would also risk going into the season with Chaine, though I take your point that we could do better in that position.

@talkingbuccaneers The coaches contract is ending next season bafo I believe so 2 seasons gone no league no Champions league group stages just 4 games of MTN8 , a reasonable run on Nedbank [Credit to the guy) but if you say we risk it by having Saleng and Chaine only this season the league is good as gone so the coach should look in the market for more wingers similar to Mofokeng and a GK otherwise it will be another season where we just win an MTN8 and it ends there but we call ourselves a big team. A bit more ambition will do the Drought seasons are over now we need to be a powerhouse. I think the next top should be can this technical team make us a powerhouse in Africa , well starting with the league!!

We have Azola there and I think he is a quality player. We need to be fair and give him a chance as we have done for Rele and Saleng. And he is a lefty which means Saleng has a solid back up.

Morning Bro, i agree with you on a lot of what you have said....and Pirates transfer season will be crucial, and they have to UP their quality of signings. i believe we need a left footed or ball playing CB to partner Ndah, a CDM and 2 wingers. we really have to up our transfer strategy from now on if we want to compete with the african giants on the continent. Aziz Ki is such a signing, for that RW position and his output is that of a CAM and RW. And he will be a good addition with Saleng, then in my books we need to look at Oura at Stellenbosch to compete with Mofokeng and he is a more physical yet pacey winger. i would love if Pirates puts Sundowns under pressure for Coetzee as our CDM...since his contract is coming to an end. i can see a midfield 3 of Coetzee, Mbatha and Maswanganyi, front 3 of Aziz Ki, Mofokeng and Mabasa and a back 4 of Hotto, Ndah, Toure and Johannes. UP THE BUCS!!!

@@talkingbuccaneers Great Podcast bro. I saw the news, and i believe they have extended it by a year...i still believe he will become surplus, based on the way Rhulani is using that DM position. As an out and out winger, i dont think so honestly, however with the way our coach is using our wings, he seems to have two systems. One where Saleng/Lebitso/Hotto runs directly at the defenders or in Mofokengs case, isolate defenders and cuts in, so he may position himself(Aziz) as a winger but actually tucks in when he has the ball...then allows Lebitso to do what Hotto does with Mofokeng.

On the right hand side full back we can utilise Sandile Mthethwa who can play as right back and he is also a natural centre back. He is à product of our development and has represented national junior national teams . Very few players are better than him. I have seen him scoring important goals in big matches. We can save money for other positions. We can also utilize Nkosinathi Sibisi as a right back as he is good in distribution and he is a natural centre back he can easily be our"Kunde of Barca". So on the right back are safe on the left back I fully agree that we need a good one as we do not have one. We are very average on this position we really need reinforcements. That is my opinion maBhakaniya.

I think Goodman will perfectly complement Mbatha. The club just needs to be patient with Goodman because there was a time he was our best player but I don't know what happened.

Stephane Aziz Ki can replace Erasmus definitely he can add a different dimension in our attack...Deano Van Rooyen is a buccaneer so he replace the inconsistent Monyane,we need Rayners...Toure of stellies can add value in our defense as well.if we can get jayden Adam is a younger version of Makhaula who is a seasoned campaigner.

Something that all not ready to hear is that, let's let go of Timm and go for Zungu. With Makaula, Mbatha, Zungu & Masele will very covered in that mid position🤞

I think it’s huge ask to ask them to release Timm. I think it’s near impossible that they do it. They won’t want to upset things too much. I think they’ll mostly release fringe players (and Monare was that in the last part of the season).

Maswanganyi lacks leadership qualities for instance if you don't pass him the ball he sulks.. I think Hotto isn't a natural left back and releasing Maela might be suicidal since he has the experience that is needed for CAF.. thats my opinion

On Maswanganyi: 😂 I know many great captains like that… Ronaldo being one. I take your point though. My idea was just to say we have many players assuming some kind of leadership for Pirates. One way or another. Maswanganyi does it in the way he plays, too. On Maela: suicidal is pushing it for me. We’d be okay. I think next season for us in Africa is mostly about the players progressing further more than winning it. As we keep playing in it, the players will be gaining experience together…

Lol Maswanganyi needs to improve in that regard, I remember few instances he throws tantrums and by decoy the ball comes to him and he doesn't know what to do with it.. about CAF remember Pirates can have a bad run in CAF and the following year we reach the finals.. so I think we need experience.. and about Zungu do you think we need him?
