Just picked up a Hightower C S build, but was not expecting it to come in fo 6 months, so the week prior I picked up a used Nomad C X01 Reserve build... I am torn now. I think I like the Nomad better, but it makes no sense to sell the new bike with lifetime warranty. IMO both climb VERY well, descending is a tough call....

zach olson man that sucks ! I’ve already worn out the back tire and gone through a set of brakes ! Lol I get asked all the time how I got that bike . I guess there are a ton of people who are waiting.💯🥜🇺🇸🤙🏻

5010 for my trail bike and a YT tues for my downhill bike yes a v10 is amazing and stunning but 8k is too mutch for one bike if you ask me

I’m looking for a wife-bike... she’s Philippine, short & not super strong but has a huge desire to ride. Neither of us need more than 3~6 speeds so I’d like to keep the complexities to a minimum if possible. Suspension is a must and carry racks would be used frequently. Can anybody help finding a good candidate for me?

What does the CC CR CS XT XTR etc mean?

Cc is the lightest carbon version C is a different carbon , same strength but heavier R , S , XT and XTR are the build kits ( drive train , fork dampers etc) XT and Xtr are the Shimano XT and XTR line the other mostly have Sram with fox or rock shox

Does it really not matter if the suspension is high or low? I trying to decide if I want the 5010 that has a high suspension or a Hightower that has a low suspension. I prefer the look of the high suspension but that's all Im going off of.

The new 5010 also has the low suspension mount. Now only the Santa Cruz XC bikes have the high suspension mount. I have kind of a similar problem, I can’t decide between the new 5010 and the Bronson. I’m leaning towards the new 5010 with the low mount suspension, but I got an extremely nice deal on a new Bronson from a dealer for a showroom bike that was only ridden on the stores frontyard. Of course it still has the full lifetime warranty. 3000€ off the retail price, including the great reserve carbon wheels is a heavy discount.. I’d really like to take the deal, because it has the better CC Carbon, Fox Factory suspension and everything. But I’m afraid the 5010s geometry will suit me better, because it’s so playful and should climb much better. Also the 5010 is a size medium and the Bronson is a size large and since I come from Dirtjump and Slopestyle riding I’m more used to smaller frames which are more playful to handle. On the other hand, the 5010 wouldn’t have the amazing super high end parts which I would get when deciding for the Bronson deal. In fact it would only have pretty basic parts, if I pick the 5010 model which is in my price range.. If I only wouldn’t be such a gear snob, I wouldn’t even consider the Bronson, but that damn shiny golden Kashima Coating is calling my name in the middle of the night..

@@teo7880 Carbon is lighter, and a bit stronger than aluminum to my knowledge, and because of this it obviously is more expensive. If you don't have the budget just go aluminum, if enjoy have a slightly snappier feel and have the money, go carbon.
