To me, the Legacy 1 suits look like DX (gold dragons) + Kimono (the thick black outline that was printed on black plastic is now much more visible) The Original suits and ZX we're already remade with the Honor Robes from DotD

You know the dragon on the legacy are supposed to be like the dragon on the DX suits

Fun fact, Jay's symbol says sheep, which is most likely a reference to the novel 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep'

I then the Legacy suits drew inspiration from the DX and ZX suits. They might have draw a _bit_ of inspiration from the Kimono Zane (like with the black accents and the knee pads) but those are such a minor details that they might have not have been the source of inspiration. I think this video would have made much stronger comparisons if you just showed the DX and ZX suits for comparison with the legacy robes.

I really hope they update their faces because I'm getting tired of the movie expressions Edit: To clarify, I feel like they should have given us more accurate faces that replace the movie ones sets by now (especially for Zane)

Aren't Legacy 1 suits based mostly on Dragon Extreme suits? All Ninja had a Golden Dragon on them back then, so the golden detailing on 2019 figures makes sense.

The Legacy suits with their symbols on them are actually a call back to the pilots because on the DX suits if you look closely you can see the symbol but very tiny on the back of their other symbols above their name

If you have the dotd suits, compare them to the old suits for the main 4 Just do it if you want, and do it when you feel comfy at collage if you do it

I really like the old designs. Kai,Cole and Lloyd's movie designs are good(but not as good as original except Lloyd because his movie design shows mature Lloyd) Jay looks like a baby Nya looks like somebody merged other female protagonists from other movies into one and Zane looks weird. The only problem I have with original designs are the lack of variety of expression the worst being Kai,Lloyd and Nya we barely have any expression for the three.That is something good about movie designs because there is a lot of variety of expressions from angry look to happy cheerful look.

To this day I haven't seen a single Ninjago Legacy minifig that I like better than one of the original figures. The only reason I ever get Legacy sets is for the sets themselves (though in rare cases for exclusive minifigs, like the Tournament of Elements). I even replaced the minifigs that came with the Legacy Destiny's Bounty with the season 1 (ZX) versions.

The 'y' shape on Kai's legacy suit is exactly the same as his ZX suit mainly, but the y shape appears on all the suits they showed also.

The season 13 master of the mountain suits remind me of the season 9 hunted suits.

The only actual suit that was made to be a call back for a season was the torment of elements and the one Zane DOTD suit because you know how angry that they did not get the march of the oni suits.

I don’t think the legacy 1 suits are trying to be their ZX or Kimono suits. I think they’re just trying to be DX, like how legacy 2 are pretty much just tournament, and legacy 3 are just possession. But since they’re making the suits more detailed, the dragon prints also have to be smaller, but they still found a way to make them all unique.

Original Torsos look "GREAT" specially the OG ones, but the Mask n Legs from the NEW Legacy are just as good 😁😁😁 Put them together n you get some pretty AWESOME Minifigures 😉

tbh i think leaving out the dx suits was a mistake, theyre very much inspired by those designs, on account of all the gold dragons wrapping around both versions. i also think these are more meant to be evergreen designs rather than just pilots-season 2 designs, you can mostly tell by nya being a ninja and not just in plainclothes.

Nicely done on this review. All suits and faces for all the figures you showed work for each and every character. My favorites of each are: ZX Zane ZX Jay ZX Cole ZX Kai Kimono Lloyd Original Samurai X Nya Original Casual Nya Original Kid Lloyd And...Original Black Robe Wu Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the Legacy suits when compared to the originals, especially because of the faces. If they ever finally update them I would like Kai to have not such a goofy smile, erase Zane's movie smile completely, give Jay his eyebrow notch back, and make Cole and Wu's smiles less, like how they originally were. There's my 12 cents on the figures, great review and I can't wait to see which ones you do next.
