As someone who grew up in the 90’s and 2000’s as a Millennial, this shape is nostalgic to me as well as the Super Star in general. I originally wanted the Samba, as my now vintage Superstar pair needed a replacement and I wanted something else yet similar. As you mentioned, due to its popularity it was a no go, so when I found Handball Spezial in black I was sold. Easier access and not as popular so had my size. I also didn’t want vegan/faux leather used on the Samba. And Hanball has suede. I find that my low arch feet does not like too cushioned shoes, and they hurt me feet. Flatter shoes are much better. Only con is that these shoes doesn’t work with all types of pants/bottoms. And I got them specifically to wear with parachute pants, which doesn’t look good with these unfortunately. Tho they do work with most NB shoes, like my new 960 pair which I will wear this summer combined with the Handball Spezial. Got the Bostons, but had to return because it was too big as in length and I tried it on in store upon ordering from the official Berk website. Now my size and color is of course sold out.

These sneaker videos are most anticipated and why don’t you do a monthly update video like “summer 2023 sneakers- may update, june update etc” based on the passed month’s trend changes and new release/announcements that you notice. True! I realized I relate to your vids the most coz you mention classic and minimalist silhouettes and cover various brands (my sneaker wardrobe is heavily influenced by your rotations). I find other creators who upload daily/very regular sneaker content tend to talk 90% of the time about Nike/Jordans or niche/luxury collaborations that most commoner sneakerheads don’t even relate to. One question- I haven’t see you talking much about the Puma Suede? One of it’s colorways would surely go with your style I guess.. No!?! Love your vids. ❤

I remember the hype of Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 in 2009-2010. Probably only in (South East) Asia though. It came after the hype of Dunk / Bapestar (big basketball shoes silhouette) faded away. The outsole of Mexico 66 nowadays is different than the pairs I bought 10+ years ago. I still keep 3 pairs of them. One being Nippon Made (exclusively made in Japan with a slightly slimmer silhouette, better materials and craftsmanship). My Nippon Made was high cut with very soft leather upper in white/off-white colour scheme. Timeless! I'm not sure if I got these correct. The yellow-black color way was popular from the movie Kill Bill. The icon color way was the white with red and blue stripes.

They were very popular over here around that time too. Everyone at my school had a pair. I think the Kill Bill pair are the Tai Chi pair (the same pair Bruce Lee had). Very similar

I have the beckett simonon version of the GATs and the quality is superb. Great attention to detail as well. I believe they use Italian leathers and are built in Colombia. Expect a hefty delivery time. Mine took like 3 months.

I found a really nice pair of represent seconds that I'm going to enjoy throughout this summer. Comfy and got them for a steal. I'm generally a boot person so when I find nice/good quality runners, I'm like goddamn.

I cut off the leather heel bits on the mexico 66, just leaving the inside part. Worked well since it keeps flopping about too much. Great shoe. I have the white pair with beige suede details. Quite gat-like IMO. Recommend changing laces to slightly thinner ones, preferrably waxed. ~105 cm. I got some round ones pretty happy w it.

My current collection includes an asics japan s and a nb 327 for day to day. Both good looking, very confortable and good quality. And i got the adidas samba and a puma rbd for when i want to dress up a little

I have the Donald Glover RC30 Blue/White colorway and my goodness its probably my top 1 sneaker for its comfortability and how versatile it works for basically any outfit. I recommend everyone to check it out and come back to this comment when you all have tried it out😌

Never had them before (Adidas Gazelle) , but they look stunning, simple and old school. I feel just by watching at them that they are qualilty product. Only footbal shoes that i liked more from look perspective were Nike elastiko from around 2012 ,but they disapear from market with lighning speed.

The blue gazelle indoors are on Asos. A few sizes on adidas as well. Just as I was checking the blue pairs out on Adidas just now, the green ones became available in my size. Lucky.

I just know at this point if I hop on the Adidas trend now it's only going to last a few more months, so I'm skipping this one. Personally I think Mizuno and Puma are extremely underrated. Mizuno's wave rider 10 in the creme brulee colorway is probably my next sneaker pick up.

I chose adidas spezial in black and adidas samba in light beige/white for this spring/summer. When its warm enough i am wearing birkenstock arizona in oiled leather and tevas in black and tan. Thats it. I remember wearing the onitsuka tiger in 2006 in brown/beige but for me my feet looked like bananas in them and i hated that so much, i will remember that forever. Couldnt handle wearing those in yellow at all 😂

Recently found out that there are mule versions of the chuck 70 and Reebok club C. Also the Jordan x Billie Eilish hex mule is a whacky option that plays with angles and perspective.

As a skater that only wears converse and vans I do buy the Adidas Gazelles when i wanna style better and it never disappoints especially for vintage outfits its so good i recommend and i hope you could do a vintage outfit look with the gazelles so you can see what i mean.

if you like catchy colour, i think you'd like Nike Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoes - Dark Sulfur. Its quality is really good, since its summer, gonna be a little bit sloppy in rainy days but i think it will be fine in dry road. as the name suggested, general purpose shoe (gps) will be built tough as you could wear it for your daily activities. its a little bit stiff in the beginning but as the time comes, it will wear out and fit your feet perfectly. the downside is maybe the colour is a little bit hard to match with your outfit haha, overall 9/10 recommend.

The blue indoor supers are a must if you're a man city fan like myself. If you support United get the red pair. You said the blue ones had sold out everywhere, but size? has them in all sizes 9-12

You sold me on the green Gazelle and I snagged a pair this week. I don't know if you made them change the laces or it's only the Gucci collab that lacks it, but the normal pairs that I bought did indeed have white laces along with green.

Great video, as always. Could you do a video where you show how to style your socks with these shoes when you’re wearing shorts? I noticed you’re wearing slacks in all these examples, so the socks don’t matter as much. I have a lot of the sneakers you showed, but I tend to think they look funny when I’m wearing shorts. I’m not sure how to style my socks (length or color) to make them look more integrated into the outfit. Thanks!
