Co-workers often become like a second family, and, like family, there’s bound to be times when members just don’t get along. On a show like Saturday Night Live, which has been on the air since 1975 and seen dozens of cast and crew cycle through its nearly 50 seasons, you can bet egos have clashed on more than one occasion.
There are any number of reasons why certain people on SNL didn’t get along with others, from perceived poor work ethic to plain old jealousy, but luckily, both current and former cast members have spilled the tea on some of the show’s most famous feuds. Which SNL cast members couldn't stand each other? Let’s find out.

@slider2699 he should be a bigger star than what he is. I saw an interview of him at his house after Community. It appears that he really has no idea that he was that hard to get along with. He just doesn't get it. He has three daughters and a wife that think the world of him. Clearly people have issues with him. It's just unfortunate for all around. His best episode on Community was the Dungeons and Dragons episode...Netflix removed it because Ken Jeong had blackface on to play a dark elf...a mythical creature and the episode gets pulled. I know I'm rambling. I like Chase...just wish he could get along better with others.

@@SJ-ni6iy I’m sorry, although I understand the meaning behind what you said, not to mention that there will, without a doubt, be some people who will undeniably apply to that sentiment, it doesn't take any exceptional life experience, however, to understand and have an awareness of that particular notion not always being the case. Now, I'm not saying that in regards to Katan himself; I'm just simply speaking generally. Still, there are way more circumstances, and far more than people who stand by this specific sentiment seem to realize, where someone can end up like a magnet for attracting the wrong people to them and where they are not the one who “is the issue,” as you put, lol. I'm not saying, nor am I implying that you, yourself, do not know that. I figured that I would add this bit of insight into the mix since many people, in general, especially nowadays, tend to develop and latch onto some very extreme, “absolute,” so to speak, black and white, all or nothing, irrational, and relatively unrealistic beliefs, ways of thinking, perspectives of people, and so on, and there is no doubt in mind that someone would *[or already does]* take this statement as if it were the gospel and that there anytime there is a situation where someone specific has issues with several different people, that it is “always and explicitly,” as if etched into stone, that person who is the issue and “couldn't possibly” be the several other individuals ever, lol.

SNL was (maybe still is, but I don't think it's as bad now) an insanely competitive work environment where you needed to show on-screen chemistry with folks while possibly stabbing them in the back because of the nature of having to get *your* material on as opposed to somebody else's. I watched SNL from its debut. Chevy Chase's self-satisfied, narcissistic personality was always on display. He was insufferable from the start. His perpetually smug face signals, in no uncertain terms his firm belief that he's always the smartest, funniest and handsomest guy in the room. He ruined every sketch that he was in with his outsized ego and minimal talent. The fact that he continued to be in movies and still have a career absolutely mystifies me to this day. Chase remains the only SNL cast member that was my signal to go make a sandwich or have a bathroom break. I'll never watch a movie with him in it and fast forward through any scene or appearance he makes on SNL.

I remember that time period. At that time, the show was still a "boys club" and the women were mostly at the bottom of the pecking order. They could still shine (I mean, you can't hold back talent like Jan Hooks), but it wasn't easy. It got even worse into the early '90's when Julia Sweeney and Ellen Cleghorne held down the fort for a couple of years and a parade of other one-and-dones female cast members came and went. Those years saw the rise of In Living Color and then Madtv, shows with lots of female talent and more diversity.

People can work out their problems, and it seems like they did, bc the beef happened before the appearances. And I can see why Morgan would think this about Fallon, tho. I don't think Fallon's breaking was consciously a way to bring attention to himself, but you only have to watch some of his interviews and see how he often cuts off his guests to talk about himself to see he's a bit self-centered. That being said, it was kind of in poor taste that Morgan talked about it in his book. And also the way he talked about some of the other cast members. My guess: it was all for the sake of creating drama so he could sell more books. And that's kinda skeevy and sad.

@@frankrollins8171 Hmm...................I'm intrigued.....................so is that the main reason Taran left the show, most likely? Didn't know they were feuding! I mean, Kenan seems like such a likeable guy that I can't imagine anyone not getting along with him.

@@davidl570 Well the excuse was taran went to film a movie with arnold schwarzenegger but that seems a little strange as to why thatd be an issue. Yeah the feud was intense.
