I bought a V2 at a used office supply place for $200 about 8 years ago, and it was in perfect condition. I found an adjustable car headrest and installed it with clamp blocks attached to the rear of the back. The headrest was too hard though, so I ripped our the foam on the front side, and refilled it with pillow stuffing.

My steelcase Leap v1 broke today. The part that goes from the base of the seat to the armrest broke off at a weld. I bought it used at least eight years ago for $200, so it lasted long enough.

Could you guys do a video about the Leap V1 High Back? Seems like an often-missed alternative middle ground between the normal v1 and v2.

Guys, just found your channel the other day, really like it! I spend probably 12-14 hours in my home office chair, split between normal working position and leaned back with my legs propped up on the desk watching KZfaq or TV. Is there a chair that you guys like that will allow me to lean back with legs propped up? Thanks!

BTODtv any recommendation for a 6.4 250lb person with lower back problems? Leap seems interesting but i wonder if the cushion would bottom out. Willing to spend around 700 but honestly if it would help my back id go higher.

Please consider making a video featuring your Frankenstein chairs. I'd love more info/tutorial on the "Lamia". I have a leap V2 for work and a Gesture at home. I absolutely love the cantilever arms on the Gesture, but just as you said in your review of the Gesture...the seat is uncomfortable and the back rest is not as nice as the Leap V2. I never get uncomfortable in the V2 at work...and I work 12 hour shift. If I could create my own Frankenstein chair it would be: Gesture base with the cantilever arms and seat adjustments LEAP V2 back and seat pad

I thought you would be way more through... What about differences between Leap 24/7, Leap Plus, Leap Executive, and the Leap that uses leather? Regular Leap v2 also comes with different meshes, which I heard feel different enough to affect your choice.

That is a tough price point, as most chairs aren't very good and it's hard to really find something that is "different" from the sea of $200 chairs. Around $200, the best we've tried is the Mellet, but you are too tall IMO for it. The Ticova would likely fit better, but the version we like is around $300 -GK

@@btodtv Thanks for your comment, Even thought i don't have the budget for the Ticova and i will stay with my kitchen chair😄 I'm still very grateful you took your time. PS.: But If you by any chance find a chair that happens to suit my height and Budget, please don't bother to write me. Greetings.

As a very tall person (6'11"), do you think that the lack of height-adjustable back on Steelcase Leap (v1 and v2) would pose an issue? I tried sitting on a v2 in a vendor showroom, and it doesn't seem like it would be an issue, but i don't know if sitting for full work hours (8h+) would start causing back pain. If so, is there a brand and model that you would recommend? Steelcase Leap v2 is my current top choice, but Haworth Fern is also becoming available for purchase where i live, and I'm interested to check it out, mostly due to a glowing review i saw from you folks on this channel. Aggressive lumbar and good thoracic support are my primary needs in an ergonomic chair I'm looking to purchase

I agreed, having used the V1 high back at home for years and the V2 art the office. Another thing that wasn't mentioned and that I also miss in the Amia and Think I now own, is that he V1 armrests might not move backward, but they do move outward (where all these "3D armrests" only move inward as far as side adjustment goes) So, if you don't have an expensive perfectly height adjustable desk, so you might sit a little too low with your feet on the floor, or you have wider shoulders, the V1 actually can help you support your arms at a much wider range. Also if you look at the high back V1 version, there isn't much improvement when it comes to the V2 except weight and age. If I would be able to order the high back V1 new that would be my preferred choice for sure
