I ride with one cheap Amazon blinky, keep it pointed down so I’m not blinding people. They can still see me. Have another light that I use to see with. Brighter but I turn it on when needed.

The Raven you added to my Bike has been awesome. The many different light levels allows me to select the exact amount of light I need for the environment I'm riding in. So far, I haven't had to recharge it after many hours of use. It is nice to have the option to really light it up when needed ! I plan to hard wire it at some point.

I really like the mid drive plug n play light set you sold me headlight, taillight, turn signal and horn. During the day I use the tail light as a brake light. The horn rocks

Bought a handle bar adapter and mounted a QUALITY brand name tactical flashlight. Best bang for dollar in bike lights. PERIOD.

Hey Johnny, the Magic Shine looks like it wasn't even on at all, it just looks dark. with the very faintest hint of seeing the fence. I suspect you got the wrong image.

No it was set to the same setting, camera-wise. However it was only a 6v signal. To get full brightness it needs 12v.

I recently stumbled on the "Detour" by Outbound Lighting, made in the USA. Produces a lot of light that is well manage with a pair in-house engineered cut-off beams. Therefore, providing plenty of lumens without blinding on coming traffic. Great mounting options are available and is USB-C rechargeable. Not cheep, but if you want to own the night this is your light.

I would love to wire up an ebike like a motorcycle haha Day time running lights, High/low beam, brake light, signal lights all connected to nice handlebar switches. THATS what I want haha overkill for a pedal bike but I'm going for the Emoto feel

Not really overkill. Bike lights are way too fiddly. blinky DRL are a big enhancer.

That's what I'm trying to do. But I can't seem to find the light profile for the lights. I want it dipped at the top and all on the floor. So wide but but straight at the top so I don't block blind cars.

I got a nice cheap set off Amazon. It’s rechargeable. Doesn’t plug into my BBSHD. That would be useful as I can turn the headlight on easily while riding but I can’t reach the tail light. Also I have recharged the headlight once and it took a long time even though I’d only used it a little bit. Having only one big battery to recharge would be a convenience.

I have "Lights, Mirror and Bell" for my E'-CELLS Super Monarch Crown e-mountain bike. 1,200 lumen flashing/multi mode Bontrager handlebar headlight, generic, plug-in 300 lumen light above the front fender, 800lumen multimode/flashing tail light. Plus spoke reflectors and Pearl Izumi riding vest.

I really enjoy your content Johnny. Smart, great content, funny and entertaining all in one. I have a bbshd from em3ev which came without a lead for a light (they claimed at the time that it's not good for the motor or controller, or maybe they just didn't have one in stock?). Which wire can I tap into if I want an integrated light?

You’d have to tap into the main battery and get a step down converter

Really is a pisser that the controller/display hints at one and searching gives you Johnny's answer. Same issue on Luna's. Not an available option. May be the power load is too unpredictable across users Simple light central controls would be a blessing. Varia also still falling short on this, and CA3 is still fiddly.

fyi : just so ya know, they could not steal my bike because it was locked so well. But some sub human piece of 💩, stole my nice high beam mini flashlight out of its handlebar holder while I was in the movie theatre one evening. Had to ride home with no light. 🤬 Unfortunately they are still out there.🧟‍♂️

Where do you start when selecting an LED light to match your speed controller I have a 24 V 350 W speed controller do I get a 24 V light or do I buy a 12 V light how to test what voltage is coming out of a light circuit

I wish I watched this video and listened before getting hit by a car! I am trying to get a ebike light from light and motion. they say they can be wired but I dont know if it can be integrated with bbs02. I cant find any reviews on them and the info is scarce on their website. I am a student athlete at northwestern university in Chicago area so I ride before the sun comes up in the morning to practice.

Could you perhaps tell me what the output voltage is of the lighting wiring on the BBS02B? Will that be enough to power two of the 2000lmn lights? Mine has the following controller in: HZXT SZZ9 hardware 1.1 / 25Amps I ordered two of the WUPP lights and I am doubting to connect them to the light output or to the battery (48v) with a switch in between. Thanks in advance! Btw, I enjoy your videos! You inspired me to build my first ebike. And have already started on the next :) thanks!

I put two 350 lumens lights and two strobe lights on an electric wheelchair. The lights point down about 15 to 20 feet in front of the chair in case I have to ride the street because of poorly maintained sidewalks. I also have reflective tape everywhere.

That 6v bafang specific light with the wires that plug into the controller, are not that bright... Will the better Magigshine ME1000 or ME2000 connect to the same 6v wires to be controlled with the on/off on the display? Are these compatible with the Bafang (w/wires from controller) or do those need to bypass the 6v wires off the bafang, and need to plug into a 36-60v directly..?

You just want to make sure the light is a 6v and not a 12v+

@@JohnnyNerdOut is it possible the magicshine ME 1000 and 2000 run on 48 or 52v direct wiring.. That may be why it is not 1000 lumen or 2000 lumen. watched the wiring demo for Bosch and Steps, where they wired directly to the battery voltage post.. I think Bafang has a stepdown to 6v for the weaker lights..

A little disappointed in the reviews. The lights were left in plastic so couldn't see what they looked like. Also the Raveman had 4 settings but you didn't show them. NE1000, 5:07 was it even on? An idea of cost would have helped too. Love the channel Johnny 👍

The me1000 supposedly is brighter with a 12v system. It didn’t look very bright in the video (it was the dimmest). Check sites for prices as they change. 👍

@@pascalkargut3237 check the dropout width. You’ll probably find the front and rear are about 20mm different.
