I use the serrated blades on a daily basis in the wearhouse. I tried them and they work way better in my opinion.

You should have used the utility blade to open the package of hook utility blades instead of struggling to open it with your hands.

Just an idea you should show the cutting power and stuff dude :), and serrated is way better of an all. Around then the basic, because it's not really a tru serration, and the hook blade is actually mostly made for roofing ;)

Are utility blades universal with all brands of utility knives? For example. I want to get a 50 pack of blades from Mastercraft for my milwaukee fastback.

Cool video. If you have a utility knife with blade storage its nice to keep different kinds on you. One thing about those serrated blades is that even when they’re dulled they’ll still tear right through a lot of materials. I have the hardest time choosing between a regular straight edge and a hook blade. You were spot on in saying they’re great for opening packages or boxes without damaging whats inside. Another thing worth mentioning is that you have SO MUCH more control and safety when using a hook blade. Opening boxes, clam shel packaging, cutting zip ties, cutting off tags is immensely safer and easier with a hook blade. Gonna go back and forth between a hook blade and straight edge this week and see which one I prefer.

Dewalt carbide are the best NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH STANLEY. Withstand all types of abuse. Even on direct concrete/asphalt/steel it will hold an edge longer compared to other stuff. Milawaulkee is great for less abusive finer worker. Super sharp blades.

The industry best blade are the Lenox gold, and it'd not close. The second best are the Irwin blades. I have used a utility knife daily for 12 years as an oilfield electrician and won't use anything else anymore.

Bc I don't have a home Depot near by I will use Stanley, Irwin or kobalt . Kobalt is about equivalent to husky

The Lenox Gold Bimetal utility knife blades are the sharpest, and stay very sharp even after cutting cardboard for a half hour.
