Even prior to the relocation they said there was a at least a 50% survival rate the first year, in the wild or in Africa only a half reach adulthood on average, 30% pass away the first six months, only 5% become independent. Yes it’s required to be on top of it but to stock as well, being so startled like a deer. It took decades to rehabilitate the forest and other local animals before judging based on short video and urban people are most guilty, respect to the locals and their philosophies that genuinely respect them, for example Gujarat lions went for 12 to almost 600.

there used to be an another type of cheetahs called asian cheetahs called asiatic cheetahs which are now extinct in india the last 3 asiatic cheetahs were shot by a prince in 1948. so the govt maybe trying to make african cheetahs adapt as both are are almost similar.

I mean we'll gladly accept more cheetahs. The problem is the implementation. There's a reason why the UPA govt took so many years to approve the relocation earlier. They were trying to consider all the scientific inputs carefully and patiently.

@@sm1606 Cheetahs used to be part of the domestic wildlife in India. Due to historical events and human interference (by Indians and non-Indians) the population of cheetahs diminished. When we relocate cheetahs back to India and thereby extend their natural habitat it will increase their chance of survival on this planet. Africa will be the next place to rapidly modernize. It will affect the African wildlife immensely. This extension project will increase the chance of wild animals to be around with us for centuries to go 😊🤗🐱
