In February 1949, Harry Truman was president. Here in the Miami Valley, Wright and Patterson Airfields first combined to become Wright Patterson Airforce Base-and WHIO-TV began to broadcast for the first time.

Happy 75th Anniversary to CBS Dayton-Springfield, Ohio affiliate WHIO-TV Channel 7, which airs "Wheel of Fortune" and "Entertainment Tonight" in the 7 O'Clock Hour Monday thru Friday Night.

Great programming but...way too much station ID self-promotion. Recommendation: Commercials pay the bills and the programming is why we listen. Ease up on the station self-promotions...we know what the station is and what it provides. We know the station "breaks in" and "goes wall-to-wall," whatever that is supposed to mean. A self-promoting announcement over and over again every break and between breaks is a little annoying and, if listeners are like me, it causes us to change the station just to not hear that "trying to sound tough" voice. Just a recommendation. Thanks.
