You guys saved my life. I traveled 3000 miles from Poland to Ireland and I finally saw you in Galway once but it's not enough I have to see you again

Awesome... Heartworm is one of THE great Irish rock albums. Deserved to be so much bigger than they were. Saw them in Henry's in Cork many moons ago...they fuckin rocked!

You're absolutely right! I was lucky enough to see them play at a festival in Denmark back in the mid 90's. Amazing show... I will never forget it!

One of the best albums of the 90s. Venom and vulnerability in perfect balance.

I walked into a record store on a Bank Holiday Monday a couple of weeks ago and stood transfixed for a few moments while I processed what I was hearing. To hear 'Heartworm' played anywhere was hard to process. Yet, I can see online how much this lp touched so many people, and how great that it has now been rereleased. One of the greatest albums ever, and its raw, insightful honesty is so apparent in this performance, which sent literal chills down my spine for the duration. How brave then, probably impossible now, to sing those words with such conviction. I could write a book about the layers of brilliance in this one track alone. Thanks for the upload. And, yes, it's been said, but some of their twinkle lives on in Fontaines DC.

Heartworm is still one of my favourite albums. I love how Fearghal brings the most shocking lines right up to the audience here.

He was highly intelligent. His lyrics blew us all away. Both his parents were teachers. I went to school with his little sister

I can't remember there being a bad song on this album...If you look at Fontaines DC..and these here. Intelligence, gems of lyrics that are true but people don't often wanna believe that. Long live The Boy and Heartworm.

Magnifique!!! Cette fureur contenue...le thème de la chanson parle de violence conjugale...

The Irish mammie's in the audience must have had a heart attack. I heard that this song was very controversial at the time because some people thought that it glorified domestic violence.

Thats one word...."glorified" that's rarely (if ever) issued as accurate description of something

Another crowd who'd prefer to see Big Tom talk about his hernia or something. I first came across Whipping Boy when I traded a Superchunk album for their debut, Submarine. A couple of years later and they release Heartworm which was just a revelation. They looked to have everything to break. But it was a funny time I suppose. Needle Mythology have just reissued Heartworm, and it sounds better than it ever did. A proper good Irish band.

Holy Shit!!!! Where has this been hiding??? Ireland's seamy underbelly ripped open in front of their very eyes... : | (p.s. - You wouldn't happen to have a copy of the 'Red Box' gig broadcast on RTE in 1997, or know anyone who does? I'm attaching this question in all my comments because I'm desperate... It's the actions of a desperate man...)

You've no understanding of what's going on here, politics has NOTHING to do with an abusive relationship. And on a 2nd note ye got who ye voted for..ironic, isn't it? Ye're all about democracy until someone ye don't like wins "No NOT that democracy" and the whole world laughs at your ineptitude! ; )
