Thank you for this video. A few things that might be helpful for others - the error codes are the number of times the Wash flashes (that is the F part of the code) followed by two seconds and then the number of times Wash flashes again (the E part of the code) followed by 5 seconds, and then it repeats. In my case, the manual had been stored in that bottom panel (apparently this is common?!) and while we did find a sock (!?) and other gross stuff in the drain, so I'm glad we cleaned it out, that was not the problem. In my case, it turned out that one of the blocks had fallen off the washing machine and snagged a wire on the water temperature sensor. We (all credit goes to my spouse) to fix it and now the machine is working again.

If you really want to finish the cycle when it starts beeping and you have clothes and water in there, press the power button first when you hear the beep, this should hopefully drain automatically and unlock the door after. If not, then you can also power cycle the machine by unplugging it from the wall and waiting 2 mins and then replugging in and running it on cold water. Don't do warm or hot because like one of the comment here suggests, your water temperature could have been broken as well but cold water will always work regardless. This way you can atleast finish that load before you start troubleshooting. Great video btw and yeah horrible horrible design on whirlpool's part. The way to open that thing needs 2 people and in my case, the dryer was stacked on top so imagine tilting the whole thing just to open some screws.

Thanks so much for actually giving us an answer!!! My machine just did this as I was running a cleaning cycle because the last load I did didn't remove as much water from the clothes as it should have... I hope that this is what is wrong with the machine
