Ran it with low oil or what? That suxs

@@JohnSmith-kz1ll Almost. The engine got a new water pump some years back. The water pump gasket didn't seal....we just added water every blue moon. I specifically told my friend to watch the water level. He lent it to friends. Then they would bring the machine back....it gets better. They overheated and cracked the intake manifold. While they had the machine the rain got into the engine. I've never found a replacement engine.

Had a typo in there....Basically they knew the engine had a major problem and stalled bringing it back. While they kept it....rain was killing what was left. Around here you can make hundreds of dollars cleaning up trees after a storm. That chipper made small work out of pines and maples etc. It was super easy money.....was.

I drilled that bushing out on the counterweight side mine was stuck as well. The belt side came off easily. Three bolts take them out put them in the other three holes and tight them up slowly. Should push the bushing out. I used lots of lube and heat. Same thing on counterweight side three bolts move to other holes and tighten. If they break get a good drill chisel

It took me a week to get those bearings in. 3 or 4hrs after work everyday

@@JohnSmith-kz1ll well I went to the hardware store to get some new bolts because the old ones were rusted really bad and the threads were chewed up a little. So I used a tap and die set to straighten up the threads in the holes and I have grade 8 bolts to screw back in there . So I’m going to use a hydraulic ram and I’m going to use the three bolts along with heat and hopefully it will break loose. Fingers crossed

Well bad news, the retainer ring whatever it’s called, it shattered. There’s a small inner piece that’s still on the shaft. It looks like it’s like welded on the shaft. You know what I mean? It’s been on there so long that it’s bonded to the shaft. I think no matter what or how much heat you put on it, it was going to shatter anyway. So you said that you were able to order a new one, would you mind telling me where to go and order that? If you could help me John I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
