From what I have gathered from my research , 19th Century Seamstresses were little more than sweat shop workers who worked all hours under the sun in pitiful working conditions, until the reforms of the late 19th century greatly improved the lives of workers in the UK.

I'm a historic and psychology nerd and this types of ASMR are my favorite, it gives you a glimpse into the olden days and how people really were like. It makes me re-think my definition of a hard life. Plus is fun to see how far we have come as a society and how much we've changed in some areas behavior-wise. Also, as a non-native English speaker, I thought I would have trouble understanding, nope I didn't! hahaha! I gotta thank Doctor Who and Downton Abbey and Outlander for teaching me different British accents! hahaha! Keep up the great work!

My favorite character to date. So relatable. Weird how I can say that in the 21st century as we die of plague in the US, most of us not having insurance and having to choose devastating debt or death. CAKE OR DEATH!? But we're all outta cake. So our choice is OR death.

Ok this is totally random but I really loved the look of this video...I wanted a similar look or perhaps even the exact same look for my short film...May I ask what lighting set up you are using in this video and also the camera and lens? Thanks!

Thank you so much! For lights I am using just two fire light light bulbs in desk lamps and that’s it! The camera I’m using is a canon 700d with an 18-135mm lenses (I can’t remember what length this was but it was pretty wide as my room is very small) I’ve also heavily colour corrected it and added a film grain filter to it. I hope this helps!

I've been reading about biphasic/segmented sleep patterns of preindustrial Europeans. I imagine the seamstress is done with 1st sleep, doing some chores, and will bed down again for 2nd sleep.
