There is a Tony Burrows version of this song on his greatest hits album. When you hear it you truly know that he did not sing the hit song version. Right you are it was Ric Wolff!

@@jjsiegal1 Tony Burrows' solo version has an entirely DIFFERENT lead voice to the White Plains original hit --- that speaks volumes about who actually sang the lead vocal for the White Plains original. Obviously it's Ricky Wolff, not Tony Burrows, being the lead singer on White Plains hit version. Nice to see Ricky get his well-deserved credit for his superb lead vocals that made White Plains' "My Baby Loves Lovin" a global hit.

Now Burrows came out as a bak up because he had already been out on this shoe with Edison lighthouse. Can you imagine what the producers thought? Google 5 time one hit wonders and learn about it.

@@markstaley5714 Doesn't matter Ricky sings live in a different key because his voice is recognizable enough to prove he is the main voice on the record. In some YT videos Tony Burrows also sings his songs live in a lower key...but I'm not gonna fuss about it. White Plains states clearly it's Ricky on the White Plains hit and what they said stands the test of voice verification. Due to Wolff's unavailability to promote the record, it would be singer/songwriter Roger Greenaway who appeared as the main lead singer on the promotional material and TV performances". That means Roger's lead here has nothing to do with Tony's multiple appearances. Highpath..... Tony said after he appeared on one Top of the Pops show three times in one night with different groups, the BBC was pissed and he got banned from BBC ever since. But you said he appeared again on TOTP with the Pipkins a few months later ?
