Shame on our host for erasing her voice from the live performance, and dubbing in her studio album's sound. It is outrageous, that an artist travels to an event (that takes time and preparation, etc), sings her heart out on stage, *to be heard*, and then some self-entitle host uses his laptop and pisses away her vocals. Raise your hand if you think that our host got permission from Edsel Records to edit their property.

I was 16 when this came out. I had just started going out and sneaking into the Top Rank ballroom in Liverpool. When this used to come on it would put Soul Train to shame. Now at nearly 70 I still get my groove on and sing along.

I watched this on tv while at Fort Riley Kansas, Big Red one! Loved it then and now! One funny thing about then We watched this in the game room cause it was the only TV in the entire Barracks! Our CO had one private stand at the TV holding the antenna so we had no interference.

I had the once in a lifetime blessing of seeing Guy Mitchell in concert in 1993 in Los Angeles. I had dinner with him and his wife after the show. He had some great stories about being a hardcore fan of what he referred to as the "bird groups" (Sonny Til And The Orioles, the Cardinals, the Robins, etc.) in the early 1950s. He wanted to record that sort of material, but arranger Mitch Miller was not amenable to it. Miller finally acquiesced in 1956, and this single was number one for many, many weeks. The original flip side (Crazy With Love) is a rockabilly gem. Well worth finding.

I guess I am a lucky guy as I have had the fortune of having many "special angels" in my life of 80 years. They lift me every time I think of them. Thank you, my "special angels."
