White Sands National Park is a ton of fun. Located in southern New Mexico this is a great spot to visit with your family.
Our planning video goes through driving logistics for the park, then we show video with hike and sight recommendations, and lastly we discuss camping options.

Another wonderfully informative video! And thanks for the reminder to bring along a flashlight for when the sun goes down and it gets dark. I live in Colorado and would have remembered the jacket for the cooler night temps but not the flashlight! I LOVE your rig, too! Happy trails!

I’m planning a trip from SoCal to east of Dallas. I’m enjoying your videos and reviews as I plan. Why would you recommend against the route through Cloudcroft to Carlsbad? I appreciate your advice!

6-7% grades for 16 miles. And a runaway truck ramp on the route is always a sign of steepness. We’ve done that before but just decided we didn’t want to do that on this trip. Plus, it gave us an excuse to see Roswell.
