A very informative documentary. I'm surprised of the low number of viewers. So many Americans view and comment on documentaries from around the world yet, not very many viewing the workers right here around home...

I think the same. There are so many fantastic parts of the US unseen by most Americans. Perhaps the aftermath of the pandemic here in 2020 will spur some interest

The dune shape that called "barkhan" is not originally an Arabic word but Turkish. Thanks for the documentary.

I think they should get their money back on their oryx-proof fence. I remember SP's from Holloman having to remove them from their flight line

Jan 3, 2020: I was stationed at McAfee Army Health Center at White Sands Missile Range in the spring of 1975. (I was given the option at the Presidio to stay or return to my home state of New Mexico. My boyfriend Manuel, a former Marine was living in ABQ so I chose White Sands. Sadly, Manuel was killed in an auto accident in Aug 1975. A few months later, I met my first husband Tim, an Army MP who was stationed at Holloman. When we weren't working, we traveled extensively throughout the region. (His primary duty was to secure the Trinity Site.) Very informative....thanks. Katrina *For God did not send his Son Jesus to condemn the world but to save it. John 3:17

@Toughen Up, Fluffy Delusional is to believe that everything evolved out of nothing. There is not a shred of evidence for evolution. It never happened. It's all imaginary made up fake charts, and foolish tales. It's a belief in fairy tales, that a frog turned into a prince,... over "millions and millions of years". Now that's a religion that requires a lot of faith. Stop believing foolish imaginations.

The Mammoths and the Clovis culture went extinct after the galactic current sheet hit and triigered the Sun to have a Miconova. North America was facing the Sun and caught the flash burst. It caused the excitement of many pronghorn and horse species that hunting would have been able to wipe out.

Lake Lucero is the modern seasonal lake. Lake Otero was the much larger lake in the Tularosa basin (covering the area of Lake Lucero and WSNP etc) 10 to 12 thousand years ago.

You need to Understand that "computer algorithms" although are set up to "randomly" post your videos; are still "set up" in alphabetical order. So since you have a "W" as the "first letter" of your video title, the algorithm will basically put you at the "end" or "last choice" for individual News feeds. Try putting "AAA White sand wilderness" And "AAA New Mexico State University, or both! If you don't get a million hits, then I guess that I am wrong.....but it's worth a shot. What if I am right??? What if it's just a lucky guess! Maybe I am nobody from nowhere and I have no idea what I am talking about. What if I took some marketing classes and just gave you a "Golden ticket". Maybe I have the right idea, but the wrong lingo. Either way, if it works, who cares if I'm right or wrong. It's worth a shot. It can't get any worse!!!

are we supposed to believe that ancient people were killing animals larger than todays elephants with simple spears when to shoot an elephant today requires an extremely high powered gun? And they did so to the point of extinction when there were easier animals to hunt
