I think Verta had a point here. The reincarnation is not the same as the one she fell in love with. So Blanca gave her heart to someone who didn't deserve it.

@Empty Chaotic it really depends on which version of white snake though. The original tale is not a folktale, but a buddhist story made up by buddhist monks to convince people to believe in buddhism

Xuan was dead in the White Snake 1. At the end of White Snake 1, White Snake found Xuan's reincarnation called Xian, married to him and gave birth to a child! But Xian is not Xuan any more, Xian’s love for White Snake is not as deep as Xuan. When Monk Fahai imprisoned the White Snake in the LeiFeng Pagoda, Xian was powerless!

@@tumonghamarkelsont.7360 they did it when he was human though and got no chance after him being demon so idk maybe in that moment it wasnt possible, but became possible later on due to being demon then reincarnating and stuff? idk xD...plus she could have concieved but it died before it became anything due to everything she went through.

So what about Xian and Blanca's son in the end? Doesn't matter anymore? I thought they'd talk about that part in the mid credits scene but it was just an unrelated ad for another movie. The original legend states that when Verta beats Fahai, Blanca is released and reunited with Xian and her son. I know this adaptation, like many others before it, takes its own creative liberties, but don't mention something from the original legend and just drop it by the end like that.

white snake 2 storyline is a bit confusing but I think blanca may or may not met her family after her imprisonment. Verta took a few decades to defeat the monk and destroy the temple, after that it seems like blanca reincarnated many times from ancient time til modern era to find verta (how did she become mortal? no idea). She (or He at that point) eventually finds verta in the demon city despite being amnesiac. Verta got out, Boy blanca can’t come with her, and some how verta met blanca in modern time. It maybe because the demon city and the temple was made by the monk, when he was defeated everyone was released and move on to their next life.

Hm well in the actual mythology, the son was a reincarnation of the god of wisdom and grew up and studied and eventually got praise from the emperor and so he went to his mothers site where she was trapped and left his lavish hat as an offering to his mother which released her (theres more to it but I don’t feel like typing that much lol)so I wonder if they’ll incorporate that in the third move we’ll see how it goes lol

Muchas versiones de serpiente blanca solo he visto dos : la primera ser llama El brujo y la serpiente blanca (The Sorcerer and the White Snake) fue del año 2011 esa me gusto solo que esa version ella se llama Susu no tiene un hijo con Xu Xian al contrario ella se sacrifica por amor y queda encerrada en la torre y su amado Xu Xian se queda como cuidador de la torre para cuidarla y ambos reencarna para amarse y la hermana se llama Qingqing se va diciendo nunca va ser como hermana de amar alguien esa fue la version que vi y la otra version esa la que pasaron en netflix : White Snake 2: La tribulación de la serpiente verde no estaba nada mal pero medio confusa por decirlo asi y otra version pero esa es dorama que se llama Leyenda de la Serpiente Blanca o The Legend of White Snake se tranmitio 3 de abril del 2019 ella se llama Bai Suzhen quien se enamora del joven médico Xu Xian esa dorama esta en netflix son version muy diferentes .

So, in the end, Blanca is dead? OK, Varta escaped from Asuravile, but that guy is really Blanca!? but did he really die because he couldn't get through the portal? Or did he manage to escape? Because in the end, after fixing the hairpin, someone called Varta. Was it Blanca? Sry for my bad english.

Yes it was Blanca, hairpin returned ALL her memories of past, even time of the first movie.

@@awesomel4206 after Blanca was freed from Leifeng pagoda, she reincarnated many times like 4-5 maybe, that's cause 1 day in Ashuraville is approximately 1 century in human realm (our world). She mostly reincarnated as a human like dudou (the dog) did in the first movie, obviously her magic and immortality would be gone too. But when Verta came back and reunited the Jade Hairpin, it brought all the memories of Blanca back to her, even memories of first movie, but not magic and immortality ofc. However Verta can teach her magic tho, but immortality cause she is now human.

@@awesomel4206 I think that she wasn't immortal at the first place. In the ending of White Snake 1 she that immortality is something that she can't reach and just gave up on it. As she is a demon, demons can live maximum over 2000-3000 years, so she might die from an old age.

And when Blanca was talking about not being able to reach immortality, she didn't mean her powers, but her age maximum which is approximately 4-5000 years or even more. UH! Im tired of reading and writing such a long texts so BYE.

The first anime was a prequel to the original white snake folk lore in China. The second anime shown here is the sequel. So if you don't know the original story. It can be a bit confusing.

Xuan reincarnated into Xu Xian, they married and had a son, and lived happily until monk Fahai came out of nowhere. He took Xu Xian, turned him into a monk and kept him on Jinshan Temple, because humans and demons aren't meant to be together (by the laws of heaven). Blanca and Verta tried to rescue him but Fahai was too powerful for them and imprisoned Blanca under Leifeng Pagoda. Even though Xu Xian begged him the Monk to not to do this, that bitch still did it... Anything else you can find out by watching "White Snake 2: Green Snake's Tribulation"

@@theon3236 nope，xu xian is a part of Xuan. Xuan lost parts of soul and become xu xian. In the end of 《White Snake》, the ultimate weapon that killed Xuan can also destory soul. Blanca use her rest of power to save Xuan‘s soul, but only same some. So xu xian's soul is incomplete.

Does that fact also applies to blanca since parts of her soul was gone and some of her soul was saved in the bone flute verta took from blanca's male reincarnation tauren when verta and tauren was trying to escape from asuraville tauren sacrifice himself and let himself turn into a winged evil spirit to get verta into the portal and his soul was destroyed but some of his soul was saved in the bone flute and this will make blanca's reincarnate soul is incomplete which she might end up like xian too?
