Thank you so much for this review. This movie was constantly played on rotation on HBO in that late 80s when I was growing up. It really hits close to home. BTW, I love the inserts!

That explains why Sean Austin was older looking for the narrations sections. It was like he was Goonies age during events with Kevin Bacon, but was Toy Soldiers age during present day. Btw you should check out and review Toy Soldiers.

This is what whiplash remade.... it's about a teacher trying to bring out best in his student!!! Alot of people did not get it. And just like at the end of whiplash... the teacher and student made their peace and he made him better.

Another Kevin Bacon water-orientated movie, excellent! Only, unlike The River Wild, I'm not familiar with this one. I'll have to seek it out. P.S, I watched your review of Ang Lee's Hulk a couple of days ago, I nearly pissed myself laughing when you beat the DVD up hahaha

I like the film alot as well. My favorite song was another unreleased song called "Paradise." I've actually been recently working with the former A&R rep of Columbia Pictures to uncover the lost songs. Were getting close!!!

Sounds interesting. Good review! Have you seen any movies in 2019 you haven’t reviewed yet?

Well, to be honest, I wasn't. I decided to check this out because of the wilderness and river rapids aspects of the plot. It is just a coincidence that Kevin Bacon is in both White Water Summer and The River Wild.

Awesome job on the review. I thought the ending was kind of riffing on Lord of the flies

Oh, here we go. You have to call it, "an 80's movie." What isn't fair is that movies that have been made in the past decade aren't gonna be labeled 10's movies, or 2010's movies. It just sucks that a good movie like this has to have that label attached to it every single time. & the way people say it makes it sound so cheap. This is a great movie. Not a great 80's movie.

It is a film from the 80's. By saying it's good or great 80's film it is not intended to be cheap or to be demeaning in anyway. In fact, I call 80's films as such because I want to differentiate them from the 10's, because the 80's is my favorite decade of film. If you thought I was being dismissive you got the wrong idea.
@jamesmuller14814 жыл бұрын
@@OcpCommunications Ok. This movie isn't a typical clich'e "80's movie." This movie is timeless, in my opinion.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Have you ever seen the official trailer? They made it out to be a comedy. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbdyoLWjnM6bdqs.html

@5:35 ... not sure about deleted scenes, but I guarantee an original score was deleted. This wasn't meant to be a music video type of flick.

Just mute the film when the narration comes on, to get a taste of what it would've been like.
