In regards to our Reaction videos:
As many of you know KZfaq can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

Personally, I thought Kin was a musical masterpiece. But i can see why older fans of the band may have thought it was too much of a departure. The whole album spoke to me on many levels though. Im still listening to it frequently.

Same here. I'm a fan of many years but on a personal level Kin spoke to me the most, compared to their older work.

Same, I love that album. It's my favorite of theirs. I love The Valley as well but Kin spoke to me on a deeper level than The Valley.

I absolutely agree I think this entire album was a masterpiece, it's hit me on so many of levels especially anticure and orphan those 2 have left me in tears and then you have tracks like blood soaked symphony that have me absolutely hyped

Kin is an album I've returned to several times, probably more than any other Whitechapel album. Granted, I'm late to the WC party (didn't head in until the Valley), but I love the balance of soft and harsh across the LP. The guitar work is phenomenal

Phil has put on his Instagram some of the new chapel and has stated that they are going back to their roots. and they are gonna be as brutal as they can be

The storytelling on Kin is just so damn good, yeah its not as brutal but their whole discography shouldn't be nothing but brutality. I can definitely enjoy their softer side, while understanding we'll definitely see the heavier stuff again as well. Art should evolve and I'm glad they can do that.

While I love deathcore, I actually think the Valley and Kin are better representatives of Whitechapel. Very diverse, heavy (without musically being heavy) and emotionally draining at times. They are albums that warrant a whole listen. If I put on A New Era of Corruption, I find myself just listening to a track or two. Those early albums feel very repetitive. So I guess what I'm saying is, music is subjective. :) Great video.

I love this video. Paints it well with that inner struggle,which side is going to win. I loved they put both songs together. This album, their songs always tell a great story. Kin ,i feel is theor best at storytelling.

Although I like the Valley more, Kin came out when a lot of things happened at the same time in my life. Kin helpt me through it.

I don’t know if anyone’s already pointed it out, but in the description for the video, they basically said this video was, for lack of a better term, them closing the book on Kin. They are actually currently in the studio working on the next album and Phil has supposedly hinted that it’s gonna be a return to the band’s roots.

Phil recently posted some demo music from the new album on his IG and it was heavy and evil as fuck! I'm so excited for their new album. The inspiration for their next album are The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile which Phil mentioned.

This music video was phenomenal and this is exactly how I imagined the song. I love how it turns Dragon Ball Z at the end lol. Btw if you wanna know what the upcoming album is gonna sound like, Phil Bozeman posted a video on his Instagram page revealing snippets from the new album (demos) and it sounds like old Whitechapel from the first three album with a more menacing, evil edge to it. Phil said there's gonna be little to no clean vocals.

I liked Kin but seeing it live was rough. You could tell the crowd just wanted the old stuff. Finally the played one track and the place erupted. Hopefully they go back to that style. I agree with Fish, Kin was solid but hopefully they move away from this style

I hated Kin. Too sentimental for my taste . They sounded too much like Slipknot /which I fucking hate/I miss angry,brutal Whitechapel,I hope they will return to their brutal roots on a new album.
