Ironic how throughout the three shows that have already been aired, this one with the guest as a comedian has been the most serious show yet. Not a bad thing at all quite interesting actually, you'd think by putting two comedians together it'd be non-stop jokes after one another but by Jim and Whitney being together they show us the negativity behind comedy which is otherwise unknown among the public.

I hope the three of you eventually read this. Bailey is gorgeous and brave, Whitney is beautiful and hilarious. I think she is so intelligent, and I wish I could relate to her intimately, and let her know how special she is. Jim Norton, this is the second show I've seen of yours. I will continue to watch, I think you've done a great job and I think you can really relate to your interviewees. Your interviews are smooth. Please don't die from success or cocaine overdose. You have a wonderful modesty about yourself, and you are performing wonderfully.

My boyfriend and I had got in a fight a while ago and I was crying my eyes out, so I turned on the TV to distract me. The Whitney show came on and I was laughing so hard by the end of the episode that my sides hurt. I was really trying not to laugh too. I was trying to be sad for the appropriate reasons and I laughed right through that anger and sadness. Now it takes some talent to be able to do that!! I miss your show Whitney!!!

I find it easy to believe that Norton could & would be civil with this woman as he respects the craft of comedy even when the comic in questions style isn't necessarily his cup of tea. But, what I do find hard to believe is that he would have her on his show & not completely & utterly tear apart half the shit she was rambling about, when he so obviously would if it were on O&A.

She's delusional. For someone with all the self-esteem issues she claims to have, she sure is full of herself. Men don't like her because she's strong & rich (not because she's a nutcase) then implying critics slammed her show because she's too pretty (not because it was terrible). She just talks herself in circles & her energy is exhausting. I'm willing to bet that's why she has problems w/ men. They think they're getting "hot" and they wind up with "hot mess".

Ok. At one point, she said "Guys don't like strong independent women" implying that she, herself was strong, independent and had her "shit" together. 3 minutes later, she said she doesn't have her shit together. She claim shes an independent woman which is why she doesn't have a boyfriend. 5 minutes later, she said she "very codependent" What the fuck!

When she starts talking about money is where the train slowly and steadily starts rattling off the tracks, and you get to see what an absolute fucking lunatic she is. Some people are afraid of their own success. Stuttering and stammering, I tried expressing this to my mom one time, and she cut me off with "You're afraid of failure; that's what it is." Nope, not at all. It's like being suicidal, only instead, you want to cut off your fingers, cut off your toes, cut out your eyelids, bust your knee caps, break your arms, and be left on the side of the road trapped in your own personal hell because you think that's what you deserve. At the end of the day though, yes, anyone who speaks that way about money, especially when they have access to it, is so fucking hateable, regardless of any issues they may be dealing with. Might as well be trying to garner sympathy points with a starving orphan by telling them how hard your life is, having to deal with all the money coming in.

I think I figured out what feels so weird about this. Norton has for years been doing radio interviews. The point of those interviews was to get in-depth and give the guest a comfort zone to take the conversation where they wanted to take it. It wasn't to be joking and have gags and bits and funny stories guaranteed to make the audience laugh every 10 or 20 seconds the way they do on Fallon or Kimmel. But this is a video show with a live studio audience, so having the audience basically witness a radio interview feels weird, because the kind of radio interview that Jim has been doing for years doesn't work with an audience. Norton does not have the personality or the skill set to host a visual show with a live audience that needs to be entertained. It's a very different type of energy from what he's used to. It feels uncomfortable to have an audience there, not laughing for very long stretches of time, even though the interview is interesting.

I don't know what it is with female comics, but they always seem fake to me and I honestly don't know why. When I listen to Jim or any other comedians, I can feel the honesty and weaknesses behind the person throwing the lines. With females, it's like dealing with a facade or a character. I fucking love women to death, but comedy isn't your strong suit.
