I just cant believe its been four years since ben and callum first interacted. I remember watching this unfold right before my eyes and it was just beautiful. Ben wanted the best callum and for him to live his truth. Without ben getting involved and teasing callum, they wouldn’t be a married couple right now. Also whitney should thank ben for everything because imagine marrying a gay man and the truth never coming out or coming out later, wasting years of marriage. Not going through with the wedding benefited all three of them- ben whitney and callum.

Why does every gay coming out storyline in Eastenders involve cheating on, lying to, manipulating, scapegoating, vilifying and totally humiliating the heterosexual partner involved and it all gets a pass because ‘you’re so brave!’

I dont think you have actually seen this storyline have you? At no point did callum villify whitney - or scapegoat her - he was so desperate to not be gay that he was willing to spend his life with her and he loved her so much. He was absolutely devastated that they broke up and that he had hurt her.

This is soaps in general. It always has to be someone who we think is straight, but hiding their sexuality and then cheating on their girlfriend with a guy, this has been done to death.

@@poundshoplinda4476 In this case Callum was trying to save the relationship but Ben’s behaviour was absolutely outrageous, fucking this man behind her back, constantly antagonising her, making snide smug comments, making her out to be some desperate controlling witch right up to her damn wedding day. Then there was Christian and Syed (Ben learned from the best, I loved everything about Christian EXCEPT his perhaps inappropriate ‘awakening’ of Ben and clashing with Amira). Now w it h Suki and Nish, of course we want the gay women to skip off and live happily ever after and it’s easy to justify the cheating and manipulation this time because Nish is literally made a villain in the soap.

@@j04370859 Yep it drives me absofuckinglutely insane and also paints a really shallow and narrow view of LGBT relationships. It also seems like hate baiting the straights because if it’s making me this upset as a LGBTQ person myself then no wonder conservatives hate us, because he image that’s being portrayed really does look like they are out to destroy ‘our Green and pleasant country and Christian values’ and all that

In this EastEnders KZfaq clip it's quite clear from my own life that there are more bisexuals out there than there are heterosexuals or gay men women often react negative to this especially if they've set up home together if two men lived together and one of them turn out to be bisexual it's more accepted at the same time of doing my review,,,, I decided not to leave women out often main think that their wife's are having an affair with another man and then they find out it's another woman it's not uncommon for women to do the same as bisexual men,,,, I hope this information from my own life experiences has been some help to some people good luck in finding your loved one

Has it not occurred to anybody that maybe Callum is bisexual. Clearly he was interested enough for them to be together that long and sleep together. Just because he discovered he is also attracted to Ben doesn’t make the cheating ok? Ok you like one bloke for the first time in your life and suddenly you were always gay and nothing that happened between you and your girlfriend/wife mattered
