This was a moment. I think she just completely stopped focusing on singing good and just said "I'm just gonna sing to you Lord". As I am growing in singing live and leading worship at my church, the more I focus on "sounding good" and hitting notes, the more difficult it is to actually do those things. But when I let go and just sing to God, there is a distinct difference in what I am able to do vocally. I think at this point of her career she was so caught up in living up to the standards that she overthought it. It's obvious that she was having physical struggles with her voice, but I think about 50% of it was in her mind. This moment is her getting out her mind and her voice soars and her delivery in itself is so much more natural and "Whitney". And you can tell it made her feel so good! She KNEW that this was GOOD! You can see it in her smile as she looks up to Him... then the background singer went super flat! Lol

This has got to be one of THE most powerful performances I've seen. You could almost feel her pain, look at her face in this video so pained it broke my heart. Since we worship a merciful God He saw to it in His perfect timing to ease her pain and call her home. But praise the Lord, we will meet her in glory and once again enjoy that beautiful voice, that precious gift of hers from God. Yup, she always gave praise to Whom praise was due. God bless her. God be praised!

So POWERFUL; and ANOINTED!!! The shakles were broken; and Whitney was delivered; and set free! She thanked the Lord for saving her. God clensed her; and she was set free from the demons that held her. I feel God's presence everytime I watch this video! This beautiful Soul was truly anointed by God; no doubt. When u SURRENDER ALL TO JESUS; that is what He will do for you. Yes; Jesus LOVED you Whitney; and still do, but now He can tell you so; face to face! You made it! ur journey is complete. RIP

On a very good vocal day Whitney would still be a coloratura/very high soprano. Most sopranos can't hit her notes and definitely not with the same power and resonance. She definitely was a true true soprano.

I feel that when whitney tried to get back on track ,gospel music would've fit her better. He new voice was still beautiful but it's like she's preaching during a song like this which is what the world needed this time around. :) Rip whitney

This is one of my FAVORITE songs & I absolutely enjoy watching her perform it! I first saw this video right after she passed away (Thanks again Claudia for posting!). I love how she gets personal with the Lord & sings with such assurance & conviction displaying her love & personal relationship with the Lord oblivious of her surroundings in the moment. At 3:01, "I know that Jesus loves me, this I know!" Isn't it WONDERFUL to know that when people find fault in you and are ready to ridicule you without hesitation, you KNOW that JESUS loves you?! HALLELUJAH for the love of Jesus!! What always angered me was no one trying to fix her hair and get her into some performing clothes . Whitney already faced vocal problems but that had nothing to do with her appearance. That coat looked terrible and that lighter hair looked faded out under those lights , this was so vital and it could have offset some of the vocal critics .

She was suffering. Sad.
