Agreed! I always love to go through and read the comments because there is always someone who shares extra details or behind the scenes info. I grew up watching Laguna Beach and The Hills. I’m 34 now and it’s so funny to me how exciting it is to hear some new juicy gossip that I never knew before. I never realized how invested I was in these shows growing up! The nostalgia is AMAZING

The nice thing is that Lauren is still really good friends with most of them! Lauren, Stephen, Dieter, and Trey hang out every now and then! They were all at her wedding too!

I didn't grow up rich but I knew I always would make a lot of money despite not going to college. And I did and I still do. Sad that you have a grim outlook on life. Also, I lived Laguna Beach and not everyone is rich! Lol I feel bad for you, have been ANYWHERE or done ANYTHING???

I never participate in the c-section, this would be my first comment, but ive watched every video since you guys started the reaction series. I love your hilarious commentary, and the vulnerability you both have with us as viewers. Whitney, I'm sending you lots and lots of love on the day of your fathers passing. I think you are both just simply wonderful and i never want these reaction videos to end. Anyone else realize that we NEVER witness Lauren and Kristen having a one-on-one interaction this entire series? All this "drama" between the two of them and yet neither one has ever approached the other on camera. Kristen almost did at Lauren's house but that's as close as we ever got to the two communicating! This always bothered me lol.

I think because it was always Kristen with the issue and she would be passive aggressive about it and Lauren refused to be immature and confront it until Kristen did first. Because Lauren never feared confrontation.

Did anyone watch The Soup with Joel McHale back when Laguna Beach was on? They made fun of it every week - I remember they played the clip of Stephen driving away from Kristin at the beach, and inserted a truck slamming into his truck while Kristin looked on, disinterested 😆 So dumb but funny.

Ugh that's a big no for me. I was such a train wreck and would be traumatized if people taped me at that age. I got a video camera when I was 14 and I am 38 now. I begged my cousin to get me one for Christmas. I took it everywhere and video taped everything we did. I was big into photo books and getting memories on film to keep forever. I have no idea where those tapes are but I am super glad they are long gone. Lol. Well let's hope.....

These are big moments for 18 yr olds. It's a little more than "wrapping up loose ends." On this series, watching the finales takes me back to the same time in my life. It's exciting and scary and you know everything is going to change but you don't want it to, but you also do.

Thank you, Whitney and Timmy, for these reaction videos. I know there’s a third season (and I’ll be watching), but this is the end of an era, at least with the OG cast members. It’s been so great being able to rewatch these shows as an adult, and reconnect with some of these characters, that clearly still have a deep connections with their viewers 10+ years after these shows ended, and shows that made an impact on pop culture and reality TV. Very nostalgic and so great! Ready for season 3!

What a trip back to my high school days. I graduated in 2005 and I’m not kidding you when I say (at least my class) watched this show and discussed it. Then The Hills came during my late teens/early 20s and that show taught me a lot along with Flavor of Love LOL!! Well, the first 2 seasons did. Great series you two. Seriously, thank you. It is nice escaping reality for a while.

Updates for anyone interested lol. LC, Dietar and Stephen are all still very close Alex H & Taylor are still very close and Morgan. And are all mommies No one talks to Jessica lol but she has 4 kids! Alex (Lauren) is friends with Kristin still and lives in Hawaii. Jason and Cedric are still best friends.

Sorry for the loss of your dad.also, love these reaction videos, not only for the drama, but also for the 2000s vibes and the views of laguna beach are amazing. This show inspired me to spend some time in so cal at a summer camp job in San diago,around the time this was filmed. When Steven walked in with the boot I DIED. Just anticipating their reaction was already so funny. Also the scene where Steven says he got the vibe that he was the asshole, and pulls that incredulous face when Kristen said he did do something harsh, is so frustrating. Like he clearly can’t reflect at all on how he messed with them. But it’s also been interesting to rewatch this and realise how much internalised misogyny I was already dealing with watching this as a teenager. It used to be a story about how good girl Lauren should get the guy but bitchy Kristen had taken him from her. Now it’s a story of two girls who are being pitted against each other but who should be focused on the guy who’s putting them in that dynamic in the first place. I totally gave Steven a pass for his role in leading them both on the first time I watched this, just like the rest of the audience at the time, and clearly just like Steven himself. Also I loved this episode. It made me feel so nostalgic for that time in my life. Very emosh

I liked it when I was younger-ish but then as an adult I enjoy season 1 and 2 more. Season 3 seems like they tried to hard to be mean. I have to say tho season 3 is the most spiciest.

@@stephknoll8006 yeah I remember being excited reading the TEEN PEOPLE magazine promo article about Season 3. Back then I was like cool but then now I’m like you can tell the producers tried to up the stakes but it didnt come as natural as season 2 did upping the stakes. It became one-liners ish.

It’s crazy with how close Kristen, Alex and Jessica were, within a few months of this episode Alex and Jessica were no longer friends with Kristen! They were really good friends to her and she went Hollywood and ditched them.

I started watching the hills reaction videos only like a couple weeks ago and finished all of the hills reactions and the first two seasons of laguna and now going back to watch hills reunion videos and the city reactions while watching s3 of laguna as they come lol

I have to say, before Tim and Whit I never used to regularly watch anything on KZfaq. Now I literally check every morning for any video, shorts, community updates, and scroll through the c section. That's just the impact the previously in the skreeviously has had on this 38yo mum living in the UK 🇬🇧

@@ct6852 yes we had them on MTV over here! I don't know how big it was really, but in my circle of friends we were obsessed! They aired a few weeks or months after the US, it wasn't until The Hills that the Internet blogs (like perez) would start posting about things that happened way before we would see it over here. Me and my friends would always be like "oh I can't wait to actually see that happen," We didn't really have anything like Laguna. I think the closest to the Hills would be The Only Way Is Essex, or Made In Chelsea. We had a lot of Jersey Shore knock offs like Geodie Shore and The Valleys. Spencer and Heidi became big names over here when they did Celebrity Big Brother, which was HUGE. I think they did it twice they were such huge characters/instigators. I think Stephanie Pratt did it too, but she didn't have the same impact, despite her role on MIC. I think anyone else from the Hills/Laguna could walk down the street and not be recognised.

Thank you for these videos. Literally the only vids I don’t speed through and I actually watch every second. I LOL every episode. The edit over Stephen coming into Lauren’s room and last episode when Annie was snuck into the opening credits. Laguna and the hills were my comfort growing up. Think of you and your family Whit 💗
