Join me in the discussion of what should we expect from shamans in today's world in comparison to shamans from the old days. Who is a shaman? What's a role of a shaman? Are shamans different today to who they were in the past?

IMO when a person has surrendered to the guidance of the Spirit and opened their mind to hear wisdom and to live as best they can in alignment with the universal truths, they have tapped in to the shaman’s space. As this practice continues over time the water will erode us into our polished self. I enjoy your videos…spirit for all.

spent 40 years travelling the world, studying shamanism from indigenous tribes all over the globe, ive come to understand the world more than i think anyone should, in a few months im off on my travels again, once im to old to travel, my kids and grandkids will take over since they love learning about the hidden side of our planet, ive written down everything ive learned over the 40 years, and thats about a thousand books worth of knowledge and once im no longer with the living, my entire collection is going to be digitized and free to access for anyone with an interest

@@navijoshi750 well i just turned 59 at the moment, and as i said, its in my will to digitize them after my passing, so i reckon it wont be for at least another 30-40 years, all my years of taking shamanic medicines and practising indigenous lifestyles has kept me out of hospitals most of my life, and on top of that ive aged really well, i dont look a day over 45, but once i pass, whichever relative does it will make many reddit posts about it in the future. although parts of my journals and notebooks are written in the indigenous languages related to the information due to no english counterparts for certain things, its fun, although sad thing is, one of my favourite tribes ive ever visited got wiped out by illegal loggers about 30 years ago, which was so sad, because there cooking was some of the finest i ever had in my life edit: its sad that the world is taking away these amazing peoples across the globe, but at the end of the day my mission is to just learn everything humanly possibly about them so someone can at least care as much as i do

Wisdom keepers, seers, mediums, healers, protecttors of nature, an anchor. The main aspect is the inner knowing, gaining wisdom from spirits, ancestors, harmonizing, alchemizing, the bridge between two opposites.. both from within and without. Not special but specialised in all of the above👏👏

You’ve shared some very good insights, I’ve been in training now for many years myself. It takes great courage, discipline and integrity to tap into this power that comes with great responsibility. As it has it’s own challenges of shadow work, deprogramming, healing family & ancestral karma. Yet when one has the calling and sincere devotion, the path is walked in honour 😊🙏🏽🌿

I’ve come to understand very recently that I, for whatever reason, have been chosen by my ancestors, who have revealed to me that I come from a long line of Healers, who were Celtic Druids. I’ve been resisting and doubting this for the past couple of years. I’m only now accepting that this as my truth, and my purpose on earth. I’ve looked at many videos about Shamanism, trying to make sense of what’s happening to me. But I have to say, your words about Shamanism, but more importantly for me I guess is, I feel an integrity behind your words that I haven’t really found anywhere else. So thanks you are helping me a lot

…your story is pretty incredible! Discovering your roots as a long line of Celtic Druid Healers sounds like a wild ride. It's totally understandable to resist and doubt it at first, but well done for not giving up on seeking your true purpose here on Earth. It's really meaningful to hear that my messages are resonating with you, and that you sense integrity behind them. I always aim to create videos that align with both spirit and my own heart. Thanks a bunch for being so open about your journey too, and contributing to the collective storytelling here. It adds a lot to all of us!

Excellent work! If it hadn't been for KZfaq and the wonderfully experienced spiritual teachers, shamans and mystics, I never would have known what was happening to me. I didn't believe in any of this stuff. But now I know that it happens to those who don't want it. No one REALLY wants to be a shaman because it is such a difficult thing to go through. If one makes it to the other side, they'll enjoy a very strange life that will forever be pregnant with weirdness. Thank you for making this!

Totally… rarely anyone just want to be a shaman if the calling comes genuinely from spirits. This is a very tough journey and spirits won't make it easy at the start for a good reason. It's amazing indeed that we could use youtube and few other platforms for connecting and finding wisdom and support. For a lot of people this is the first gateway to the bigger change. Thank you for appreciating the video 🙏

My frequency has met a point ... a point that could not have manifested without the urge to help others. (I typed this as she stated "helping others" in the video hahaha. I'm ecstatic) The way I see it, it brings me upon two journeys, and my angle is that I will arrive so much powerful from the shell of a person I had believed myself to be throughout 30 years of my life. I believe we can all shift our perspective like this

I am very happy to have found your channel. Your videos are both informative and beautiful. There are many misconceptions about shamanism and some sense that shamans only exist in indigenous communities. I have studied shamanism for almost forty years beginning with the medicine women in southeast Asia in the 1980's. I moved into the field of midwifery and childbirth education as a doula in the Seattle area. My awakening has come in many steps, but I fully accepted my calling after my son died in 2016. I was led to the sacred jungle of Yucatan, Mexico and this is where I live today and here I am honing my skills while building a healing center. I don't feel like any of this has been my idea, but instead I have been answering a sacred calling and it has required utter faith, but nothing has ever seemed more certain. Thank you for the work you do.

It's very interesting to hear about the diverse paths that have led you to where you are today showcasing a rich tapestry of wisdom. I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your son in 2016, and I appreciate your openness about how it has played a role in your spiritual journey. Living in the sacred jungle of Yucatan and honing your skills while building a healing center is a testament to your profound commitment to your sacred calling. It's evident that you're guided by a higher purpose, and your journey is a powerful example of faith and dedication. Thank you for being a part of this community, and I wish you continued success and fulfilment as you walk this sacred path. Blessings on your healing center and the positive impact it will undoubtedly have on those who seek its embrace 🌿💫

Thank you for your kind words! It's truly heartening to learn that you're feeling a pull toward the path of shamanism… and I think there's no rush in peeling back those layers; you'll discover ways that resonate authentically with you and your ancestors (and this includes your soul ancestors too). The wisdom within our DNA and the whispers of the land hold valuable insights. What you shared about the wise one from Englandis significant, highlighting the challenges that many ancestral traditions faced, but I think not all is lost, and there is potential to revive and honour those voices. May your journey into shamanism bring you profound insights and fulfillments. Thanks for tuning in! Sending warm hugs your way ✨

The polarities within society and reality don't need to be harmonized. The shaman is in the space between the polarity of the living world and the spirit world, and simply needs to stay there, and not be pulled completely into either side. Its only the shaman who needs to harmonize; society cannot do this, and will only break their teeth on it.

Why is it that one would fall into a trance without trying and regaining awareness mid sentence? Does that mean I should seek out this art or what does it mean? Thank you for your video.
@sacred_gaia
@sacred_gaia 6 ай бұрын
It's not uncommon for individuals to enter a trance state spontaneously, especially if there's a natural inclination or sensitivity to altered states of consciousness. Regaining awareness mid-sentence could indicate a potential connection to a trance-like or altered state or even channeling. Exploring practices related to altered states / shamanic techniques could be beneficial if it aligns with your curiosity and resonates with you but it's essential to approach such experiences with mindfulness and respect. If you're intrigued and want to explore further, consider learning more about shamanic trance practices, or seeking guidance from experienced practitioners (I also provide mentoring in this field, but if you prefer another mentor, that's perfectly fine as well) I'm glad you found the video helpful Thank you for watching and a very interesting question!

Shamans usally used to worship nature. Transfoms into animals as well. There used to be witches and wizards too in the shamans. But not the way how history speaks about witches. They were normal humans with the supernatural powers and abilities. Who can speak with any living beings in the universe. Also could transform into different shapes and sizes. They were also known as drummers. 🥁 But later some false rituals involved into shamans who started sacrificing animals and humans. From non violence to violence. Therefore new modern religions came into existence. 🙏🏻

we have a tendency to glorify everything from the past, including shamanism. However, like with everything, it was often misused, and then power and control came into play, as per usual. Great and thought-provoking insights! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻

I'd wager many of these indigenous healers were/are autisic, which is to say that social mores do not affect them. In lands tarnished by collonisation, neurotypicals might think "if i dont follow these rules I'll be a social outcast". Whereas their autistic counterparts might think "These oppressive rules are a cruel, power hungry pecking order, that I'm comfortable opting out of". And those who are healers are happy to be 'different'. The difficulty is finding authentic healers amongst the charlatans
@sacred_gaia
@sacred_gaia 6 ай бұрын
our perspective introduces a compelling consideration. Neurodivergent individuals often perceive the world and gather sensory information in distinct ways. I think that being comfortable with their differences, may still be accompanied by an internal fear of judgment and exclusion. Authenticity plays a significant role too… acknowledging that amidst the many healers and spiritual workers, some may lack sincerity or may be driven by narcissistic needs. This isn't anything new I though… that's why discernment is always so important. Remaining open-minded while also being vigilant to potential charlatans is a crucial aspect of navigating these realms. Thank you for watching, and contributing to the discussion with great insights!

A true shaman doesn’t need or want the Title Shaman. A self appointed title is an egoism need. Human nature seems to need to Be something that gives power or position above others. This is an ego boost but also used to put one in a position to charge money for teaching. This negates the true being of a “ shaman”. On you tube they are a dime a dozen.
@sacred_gaia
@sacred_gaia Жыл бұрын
Hi Bob, thank you for your sharing your view! I think the title shaman is still valid and helpful to people who are seeking for certain type of healers, and the title simply indicates how these type of practitioners will likely to approach the problem. For practical reasons, I see why people would often put themselves out there as 'shamans' as this immediately tells us about the realm of their work which can be quite helpful. I believe that the greatest shamans are humble so they don't need to call themselves anything but people will still refer to them by the title 🤷‍♀️ Also, in many cultures the world shaman is translated to something else in the local language and it's a part of their ways to honour the heritage, believes system, culture etc., so perhaps, the judgment we make is purely from our pov. I've come to conclusion that it's just a label like any other for different professions. I also think the much larger challenge is not in someone's ego but in people giving their own power away to any type of healers, gurus etc. If we weren't glorifying shamans as something supernatural, no one would get triggered by these labels/titles. Having said, of course there are people out there who keep misusing the title without having the appropriate set of skills or experience. Great debate though! Thanks for watching!

That's very untrue. Many real tribal healers claims to be one in their own language. New age is a scam though
@sacred_gaia
@sacred_gaia Жыл бұрын
Not sure what's exactly untrue in me having an opinion but yes, you are right that many tribal shamans will still have a specific name for s shaman in their language and will use it proudly. Nothing wrong that! However, not all people live in tribes and remote parts of the world. Most people live in cities or modernised towns but still would like to have an access to spiritual healers or mentors. There is plenty of new age stuff I dislike myself but I'm trying not get triggered to the point of anger… people are lost and just trying to find way to cope with the world, I feel like it'd be more helpful if we come from a place of understanding than judgment I think. On the other hand, there are many scam tribal healers too. Even in tribes, you'll have lot's of issues surrounding an authentic and sincere shamans. Finally, I encourage you to research shamanism across different cultures or geolocations (but outside classic emote tribes) and you'll see that there is plenty of authentic practices used to this day by people that was passed on for generation and are considered as shamanic or in the category in folk medicine but don't get enough credit and recognition just because these people don't fall into a stereotype of being indigenous or tribal, and it's not for us to take it away from them just because we like to put everyone that practices Medicine in to one box of new age.

There are many ways to learn shamanic ways of living and being of service. You can find numerous resources online, connect with great teachers both locally and online, seek a mentor, join a like-minded community, and learn directly from nature. Nature is our first teacher in shamanic seeing, interaction with spirits, and evolving our consciousness. Whether you want to learn something specific or explore all aspects of shamanism, you’ll need patience and an open heart, as the learning journey never truly ends 😉 Thank you so much for watching and your curiosity 🙏

Hello there! Greetings from Greece! I need your honest help. So I started recently to learn about shamans and their work. Can they “save” a person from mental problems? Some kind of mental illnesses? And how?! A member of my family suffers. And we are sad for many years. We need healing. What is your opinion on that? Thank you ❤🙏
@sacred_gaia
@sacred_gaia 10 ай бұрын
Hello there, Your honesty is truly appreciated, and I completely understand your concern for your family member's well-being. 🙏 Shamans possess a rich history of engaging with the spiritual and energetic dimensions of healing, which can indeed have an impact on mental health. However, it's important to recognize that there isn't always a one-size-fits-all solution. Each individual's needs are unique, and healing often involves a multifaceted approach, including the physical aspect. Shamans offer rituals, ceremonies, and energy work that can provide comfort, guidance, and a deep sense of connection. While these practices can be profoundly beneficial, it's important to acknowledge that addressing mental health issues typically requires a holistic approach. This involves a blend of medical, psychological, and spiritual methodologies. The most effective approach often avoids relying solely on one method. Based on my own experiences, I would encourage exploring shamanic healing methods. Many individuals have found them to be transformative and capable of bringing about significant shifts. However, it's crucial that your family member is open to this approach as well. Remember that you're not navigating this journey alone. Seeking guidance from experts across different fields can provide the comprehensive care your family member deserves. Furthermore, it's possible that both you and your family require healing and support. I'm quite certain that this situation has taken a toll on all of you. ❤️‍🩹 I hope this helps you with navigating this further… I'm sending you strength, comfort, and heartfelt wishes 🤍🙏
