The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn against two-time AFCON champions and host Ivory Coast while Senegal will take on Cameroon in the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place over the summer, but will now be played between January 13 and February 11 at the start of next year due to concerns over weather conditions.

Very true. Nigerians should thank God they'll not be meeting Ghana in the group stage and same for Ghana. We're each other's threat😅. That's love right there

I can say authoritatively say that Ghana is never afraid of Nigeria when it comes to soccer. It was the prayers of all Ghanaians that Ghana should meet Nigeria. Whatever it is they will meet along the line that is if Nigeria can progress. Since 2006, Nigeria has never beaten Ghana. Out of 7 matches played Ghana has won 5 and drawn 2. Nigeria is never a threat to Ghana.

Haha! It's only today that I'm knowing that Nigeria is always a favorite to win Afcon; Ghana has reached more finals in the Afcon finals that Nigeria and Silver medals more than any country on the continent, followed by Nigeria with the highest number of bronze medals. Ghana: 4 gold and 5 silver; Nigeria 3 gold and 4 silver.

Why are Nigerians so much concerned about Ghana. We beat Egypt 6-1 to advance to the world cup 2014 and beat Nigeria to make it to Qatar. Who else is Ghana afraid of? I'm praying we meet Nigeria along the way and pack them packing. We did it in 2008 and 2010 afcon in Ghana and Angola. Nigeria is no match for Ghana at all.

@@wyzze6369 is it not a fact? Bring out your analysis if I'm lying. When was the last time Nigeria beat Ghana? That was in afcon 2006 in Egypt. Nigerians are too much bragarts. Ghana is coming

Nigeria defeated Ghana at AFCON 1984, 2002, 2006. Nigeria qualified for the 2002 World Cup after thrashing Ghana 3-0 in the final qualifier. After Ghana beat Nigeria at the 1992 AFCON, they had to wait until 2007 before they defeated Nigeria again. So stop sounding like Nigeria have never had the upper hand over Ghana. Also a gentle reminder, Black Stars last won the AFCON in 1982.

Yes, you beat accra hearts of oak who represented Ghana at the 2006 world cup qualifier. Ask oppon weah why Liberia protested against that 'fixed match for oil'? Secondly since 2006 till date a period of 17 years has Nigeria ever beaten Ghana? For your free tuition; we beat you guys 4-1 in London. Ask Micheal Obi who captained your team. Since your last win in Egypt a goal scored by Taye Tawo have you guys ever beaten the almighty Ghana? Even Egypt with Mo Salah could not stand the might of asamoah gyan (6-1) how much more Nigeria? We eliminated you from afcon 2008, 2010, CHAN and world cup Qatar. For 17 good years now you guys are playing second fiddle to the black stars. Come again. Where is your Amokachi who was running his mouth that Nigeria will beat Ghana wotowoto? Please, pray you are never paired against Ghana in any tournament again.
