The short answer to how is MIDI sequencing. The medium answer to how is he is using multiple midi controllers and a midi converter (translates midi messages giving you the ability to do much more with the same signal) The long answer to how is two parts, and also comes with a bit of informed speculation on my part: 1. His devices RC505 MK2, mod duo x, maschine+, line 6 helix, novation launch pad mk3, bome box, and i believe one other one whos name escapes me, all work in tandem throughthe mjdi sequences provided. I am 99% sure that he silent recorded the kick snare and hi hat into maschine+at the very begining. Then when he records the vocals, that also doubles as a trigger sound for the original melody. *Ill type more on my phone, my tablet is making my arms hurt lol.* *Ok here we go* That melody was able to play on its own because he timed the sequence to start playing it at the precise bar where he ended the initial vocals. Every subsequent change that was made without pressing any buttons, was very likely achieved by the main midi controller sending out a signal, which was converted by the bome box, and sent to the other devices, changing perameters and starting and stopping effects at pre programmed timings during the routine. (Just realised I have to leave for work, so I'll try to remember to put more later. But spoiler,: part 2 to my answer is that I have no fucking clue how he achieved it in practise. I understand the mechanics behind how it was likely done, but absolutely zero clue on how to actually achieve it in reality. 😂)

@@indicatorbeatboxmy assessment is made using bits and pieces of knowledge that I have along with what I have heard others say on the subject. Inkie did a reaction to this wild card where he gave some useful insight, which has definitely influenced my comment above so it is worth the watch in my opinion.

He was required to show a full breakdown of what he did and it was confirmed legit. I've seen people explain it in other posts, hopefully someone will pass on the knowledge because I can't seem to find them now. Pretty sure it's a lot of presets and sequences that are programmed. Inkie commented on it a bit, it’s a very complex set up.

well, I can tell that he is using the Line6 Helix toe-position from the pedal as switch as well. It might also be possible that he has a footswitch as well. Also, if the helix is set up with snapshots, one push of a button can activate a complete different scenario on effects, patterns, timesteps.. anything that´s in the preset. The buttons are touchsensetive as well. It´s the first time that I see this units beeing used in a beat-box/loop situation, I´m impressed, thumbs up

Just posted the same question at the video Inkie made breaking down this track. Reposting here hoping for clarity... I am new to this whole loopstation world... But I must admit that I don't find Oxygenics track that impressive... If he programmed 90% of it, all he does is basicly to press play and then sing his lyrics. Might also be adjusting some pitch etc... But I don't understand how this is any different from what a normal DJ does when playing a set?! -Make a track from home (Oxy might have done some technologicly impressive work during recordings) and then play it back with live vocals... My friend did that at the local disco in my teens. LOL What oxy did at home beforehand might be technologically impressive, but the performance itself seems boring and easy... So in a sense there is not much to see on the surface wich makes it a bit dull to this noob... I much prefer to see beatbox loopers build their songs from nothing live. it seems much more involved and requires alot more rehearsing to get everything right each time... Is this the loopartist version of playback pop music? -Genuinly asking to try and get a better understanding of what you all are doing!

I hope it was a joke, but assuming it isn't, SBX apparently requires all wildcards to be also submitted in their raw form so that an expert makes sure there was no editing. The same is done for Solo to prevent beatboxers doing what they were allowed to do in BBU.
@Kri_16016 ай бұрын
@@abhisheknair8437 It clearly was.
@abhisheknair84376 ай бұрын
@@Kri_1601 Nope. It he qualified that means they checked it and ensured it was not cheating. Plus Inkie reacted to it and he explained few devices which made sense. Apparently one device has lots of plugins and works like a computer. So if you premade the signal chain and the sounds and all you did was to input the songs, this is possible. For eg in loop people use sequencer and pre programme the pitches like how Rhythmind did in Rhythmind vs Brez and also Frosty did. All Rhythmind had to was make one sound to start the sequencer. Imagine the same with an entire song.

modern producing is insane with the amount of shit you can do with one sound. just a guess: the bassline is just the topline repeaded with a delay (activated in 16:40) and pitched down 1 or 2 octaves. bass and topline is different channels with different effects, but using same source sound. snare could even be the same sound source, but a timed gate with lots of compression.
