Speed, Hierro, Okocha, Youri What a midfield. I was spoilt as a Bolton fan. Kevin Nolan and Ricardo Gardner should get an honourable mentions too.

Me and my mates were chatting about that 2000's Bolton team that Allardyce had and we were discussing what that would be today? Like who's the Hierro that he would sign if he was managing today, who's the Okocha, who's the Djorkaeff, the Campo, the Anelka, the Ngotty. Bearing in mind some of these were guys were superstars on world class teams at some point of their careers. Big Sam really did something special at Bolton.

@@PhilWalsh Hierro only played 29 games for us (Bolton) & he’s on this list. In the 10 games Candela played he by far shown how class he was & best left back Bolton have had. World Cup & Euro’s winner

@@Bwfc56226 29 games is a big difference though, that's pretty much a full season. Candela filled in for us for a bit for sure and was class. But I can see why Sam didn't pick him in his all time XI given he didn't play many games.

Every position Bolton players except 3 positions if he was being realistic LB RB RS not Bolton maybe Ricardo Gardner takes full back be a tough 1 so 8 or 9 BWFC players

You can only play the cards your delt. If Bolton's hierarchy had brain's Sam would have got Champions league. After that he chased ££. Being led wrong (by low inspirational leaders) will make change your programme. Top Top manager.
