Chaka Khan has been honored several times for her impact on musio and her history. Many have honored her; some better than others. Here we have Fantasia, Erykah Badu, El DeBarge, Monifah, Stevie Wonder, Keke Wyatt and others celebrate Chaka Khan through song. Giving honor where honor is due.

Keke don't take herself serious enough for me tbh. Wayyyy to talented should've made the most of her second chance instead of acting childish in some of her performances. Before yal go there know this!Theres plenty of performances online she floundered because you can't feel what she singing. you can't take her serious because of her facial expressions that's a poor stage presence she can't attract record labels at that age having poor stage presence. Fantasia does it but with feeling and has earned her stripes. I'm still champion for her to pull thru. Because you can sing don't mean I touches you if you don't mean it from within

Damn you said a mouth full there. These artist today are robbing there fans of money. Most artist who tour today lip sync during a live show and have the nerve to charge crazy money for tickets. I could never. The only artist I payed a high price to see was Tina Turner and she did not disappoint. If I can't get in free with a backstage Pass I ain't going. You have to be a real performer and artist to get my hard earned money and Chaka is one of them. OK!!!!

Whitney, actually sang backup vocals on Chaka's "I'm Every Woman" (1980 LP). She would later record her version of the song in 1992. That's why her cover sounds so familiar. Both queens slayed it.

Whitney did not sign on I'm every woman but Cissy was a background singer on the I'm every woman album . But not the song I'm every woman. However Whitney Houston did sing on the 2nd Chaka Khan solo albumin she is feature two tracks one of them is clouds and the other is our love is in danger on both songs you can hear Whitney clear as a bell especially if you have really good speakers. Fun fact Luther vandross's also on the two songs that w Whitney is on the Chaka album and also Cissy Houston.

Erykah is heavily influenced by Chaka. She definitely hit the high notes with the right clarity and brightness. Fantasia brought the funk to the “Tell me something good” song. I loved it! I loved how she put her spin on it! Very entertaining! Lil Mo & LaTocha were pitchy. It was awful. Faith Evans understood the assignment.

She was definitely one my favorites. In all honesty, Angie was the best to me. She had stage presence, sang great without oversinging and had Chaka Khan dance along with her. The r&b divas, faith Evans and Melanie Fiona, were great too. Last, but not least, Stevie Wonder.

Angie Stone has the same timbre and tone as Chaka, just in a lower register, so she pulls it off beautifully. Erykah has the high range which she executes flawlessly. Keke has that gut strength that pushes through effortlessly and without trying to "be" Chaka. Most of these performances were good but those were the standouts for me. We have come out of the era of real singers being appreciated. All these wonderful, gifted entertainers have been replaced by mediocrity. Loved every minute of this video. ❤

They all did amazing, Keke and Erykah for me. Loved Syleena's Sweet Thang as well. One thing I will say is that they picked the right people to sing the right song. Fantasia showed out!!! Gotta love her! Ledisi hit that note at the end perfectly.

I remember being 12 years old with my transistor radio waiting for them to play “Fools Paradise” by Chaka Khan & Rufus… Her beauty, the way she dressed & an iconic voice unlike any other… Thank you Chaka for the music & like they said they all stand on your strong shoulders!!! Angie Stone N Erykah.. Chaka was singing N really grooving with hands in the air when Angie sang. Erykah was the only 1 that hit high notes at a range that didn't sound like she was straining R screaming..
