Idk about these other guys, but to hear that smoke wasn't a puppet this time around makes me happy. Him & Kuai Liang taking in Hanzo is so sweet.. Hanzo will have more of a righteous backstory instead of a tragic one. Saving the best boi. 💕

I’m so glad they managed to bring Hanzo into the new timeline. I hope he takes up the mantle of Scorpion someday, sort of in a similar way to how Kuai Liang became Sub-Zero. Don’t get me wrong, Kuai Liang is a great as Kuai Liang, but I just struggle to see him as Scorpion. Hanzo’s the only true Scorpion for me

Pretty sure Kameo Scorpion IS Hanzo Hasashi. He has the tame build, same face model from MK11 and even has chains vs Kuai Liang's ropes

I think all the Kameo versions of the characters are supposed to be pulled from their MK2/MK3 counterparts. But none of the Kameo characters are Canon to the story and are purely for gameplay. Only the base roster is canon.

I had a feeling that Hanzo is the Noob Saibot. Look at his ninja suit at 1:49 but his powers are yet to be discovered. Like the suits of every ninja represents there powers like Sub Zero is blue, Scoripon is yellow, Smoke is gray, and Hanzo is black like shadow magic.

I think maybe later down the games Kuai-Liang/smoke or maybe even both will die from bi-hans hands and in the Shirai Ryu's time of weakness without their strongest warriors to protect them and their home Bi-han and the Lin-kuei strike and slaughter the Shirai Ryu and if the Scorpian is a mantle like Subzero for the Shirai Ryu then it will fall into Hanzo's hands as the last member and consumed in rage from the death of his practically family (Kuai-liang, smoke and maybe harumi) and his clan will make it his mission to kill Bi-han like in the original games. What do you guys think?

Hanzo Hasashi being a kid in this timeline is very weird! Hanzo Hasashi will always be the real Scorpion! They could’ve done Kuai Liang and Bi Han as Sub Zero and human Noob Saibot where human Noob Saibot would have the shurikens and the freeze move replacing his ghostball where if this move touches you, it doesn’t turn you into ice, it just freezes you.

Actually is not, it reminds me the story of MK 10 where Hanzo Hasashi teaches Takeda when he was young, and I have theory that Kui liang will gives his hellfire to Hanzo so he could use and mastered the hellfire but much better, kui liang will be soon become the next Cyromancer as the new Grandmaster Sub-Zero

Nah if we just got the first ever Kuai Liang Scorpion, what if we get the first ever Hanzo Hasashi Subzero, one trained by Smoke and Kuai Liang to be a Subzero that helps them lead the shira rayu, this is caused by because Kuai Liang will kill his brother and Bi-Han will turn into Noob as his vengeful spirit will be manipulated

Hanzo is the definitive scorpion yes. but this is also a new timeline that liu kang shaped in his image. a whole new universe. don’t get me wrong I love Mk9, X and, 11 but those games were also soft reboots of the 1st gen games and a somewhat continuation/ soft reboot of the 3d era of Mk. plus Mortal Kombat with all its media has such a convoluted timeline, That this reboot really is doing Mk Justice. especially with a new generation of fans. (putting it in a perspective of a new fan to the franchise, it would be dreadful having to go back to all the other previous games trying to put together the messy plot that they had, with all the time-jumps and past/future traveling)

My 5 skins I wanna see: A Deception pack with: Deception Sub zero Deception Havik Deception raiden with the long hair Deception Mileena And MK9 Smoke Honorable Mention Mkx Sub Zero cause i want a subzero skin with the ninja hood on it, and since they did deception sub zero in mk11 if it wont happen again its a good time to bring back mkx sub zero, it was a cool design.

I hate this rebooted timeline cuz they rebooted Scorpion. Hanzo is the only Scorpion. His tragic backstory is part of what made his character so great.

The tragic backstory shouldn’t have to be repeated yet again. Hanzo deserves a better life that’s not just him getting killed, being resurrected as a wraith, and him being a slave to the bad guys and his own rage. I’m glad he’s actually young here, considering that it hadn’t been done before, and it’s an opportunity to see him grow up into someone great.

Damn, no Hanzo in the main roster is giving me base MK3 PTSD. At least they gave players that don't mind the switch a "Scorpion" to play with. Meanwhile Sub-Zero fans are eating good, they've go Bi-Han and Kuai Liang rostered...yet again.

Exactly hell even mileena got a better ending than hanzo, they took his identity, gave it to a character that shouldn’t even be scorpion then on top of that, the same character is going with his wife, who is the main drive of his motivation in base mortal kombat lore

@@wandered_rogue22 Personally I disagree with this comment and the replies. Although I see your point, I think that creating an almost new plot that revolves around the redemption and change of existing characters is great for the series as a whole. Although MK11 wasn't entirely the best way to end the timeline's story, most loose ends were tied and completed. Recreating the same story again, while it worked back then, it's better to experiment with the characters rather than stick with their traditional roles in order to create a story that's a further cry from MK9's reboot. I simply see it as progression and experimentation, something more game companies are chastised for not doing.

I can feel that bi-han will kill kuai liang in story dlc or mk2. Then hanzo becomes scorpion to have vengeance. Or human hanzo will die while trying to avenge kuai. Then quan chi will again resurrect hanzo. Then he will become a vengeful specter once again.

Yall got it all wrong, just like how Kuai Liang is the first ever scorpion version of him, Hanzo hasashi is gonna be who? Well let's see Bi-han still and angry son of gun, not to mention hes at war with his own brother, but in the original timeline scorpion kills subzero, once again this will happen but its gonna be a battle of brothers "dont trust anyone, least of all family" those are Bi-hans own words. One Bi-han gets murked by his own brother, some sorcerer is gonna use his vengeful spirit to get us this timeline version of Noob Saibot, an iconic character of the mortal kombat franchise. From there, that's leaves our young and fiery Hanzo Hasahi in the hands of our current Smoke and Scorpion, where they can train him to be the first ever Hanzo Hasashi Sub-Zero, one that is a protector of earth realm and helps them lead the shira rayu

Hanzo was pretty much too chaotic which seems why liu kang deleted him from the timeline and made him a kid. Liu also aent the invasions hanzo to another timeline. Pretty clear he wants no part of the old hanzo in his timeline

Alright so let me try to get this straight the name kuai liyang waa for the first ever scorpion and i know bi han was the first sub zero im gonna take a guess that when kuai liyang died one day and it was not given to sub zero and hanzo hasashi grew up to be our scorpion in mk9 mkx to mk11 the rest till mk1 because in mkx but this does counter a point because he finds out he is in the body of hanzo. Someone Please explain whats going in with this

No. Up until Mortal Kombat 11, Bi han was the original Sub Zero who became Noob Saibot, Kuai Liang was the second Sub Zero, ans Hanzo Hasashi was Scorpion. But after the events of MK11, that universe was destroyed and Liu Kang made a new universe entirely in his image. When that happened, all of the character from the original universe were wiped from existence. The characters in Mortal Kombat 1 are all completely different versions of their past counterparts. In this universe, Bi Han and Kuai Liang are still brothers from the same clan, but now instead of both having ice powers, Bi Han controls Ice, and Kuai Liang controls Fire. After the events of MK1, Kuai Liang and Smoke decide to start the Shirai Ryu in order to oppose the Lin Kuei, and its while building the clan that they meet the new universe's version of Hanzo Hasashi who is an orphaned boy who joins the clan. To make a very long and complicated story short; Liu Kang created a new Universe where everything is different from how it used to be. Nothing from the older games has anything to do with the characters from this game. It's all completely new. Scorpion from MK11 is not the same person as Scorpion in MK1. Same goes for Sub Zero. But they explain and show in the new game that all the fighters had a chance to make their own universe. So by that logic there should be an elder god Hanzo Hasashi in Mk 1 but there’s not and my brain hurts lmao.

Good god everyones crying over them changing things Expand your mind and think about it.. Theyre still doing rhe sametime line but with tweaks Making every fit in a way that makss since .. Sub zeeo and scorpion is better at being actual brothers just like how it was in mk 11 before they restarted it. Smoke and Ku liang was close and snoke snd fire makes so why mot pair them up like that Hanzo could be a version of Noob Saibot that paired under smoke and they'll become Noob amd Smoke like in deception. We have ro stop complain about things when its time to change it up. Atleast they didn't get rid of anyone but changing it up and do something different and better and also pairing with other characters. Everything been making sense how they wrote the characters so far and even stated that some faiths cant be changed .... How i see one way ...bi han and ki liang almost kill each orher with Bi han getting the upper hand and killing ku liang While seeing this Hanzo gets in raged and turns into a hell spawn and kill bi han. And in the neither realm bi han goes into the choas relam being corrupted with Chaos and becomes noob saibot

Why couldn't hanzo be adopted like smoke. I feel like they ruined two characters by making kuai liang scorpion, It just seems unnecessary. like if Mileena didn't look like Mileena fought and like Jade people lose their minds, that's what they did to Kuai Liang.

You know I don’t mind this Change, giving Kuai Liang’s Heart to Harumi sounds like a Good Idea and Hanzo’s Life is built on by Anger and Pain, so making him Younger than Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, Tomas, and even Harumi is the Perfect Way to Rebuild his Future in a Different Light, Ofcourse Hanzo will suffer but for now he’s in a Better Place and Who Knows maybe him and Frost will have a Thing, and Bi-Han embraces the Darkness of his Heart and tainted the Clan to a Cold Future as Heartless Machine sets Sektor as the Next Grandmaster went Bi-Han becomes a Wraith and Sektor as a Literal Machine, I swear I never saw Bi-Han Smile Once like he doesn’t have a Soul.
