Disagreement isn't harassment. Saying "no" isn't toxic. Making fun of games "journalists'" hot takes isn't extreme behaviour. Making fun of hypocrisy isn't hate. Behaving the same way regarding men and women isn't sexism. Behaving the same way regarding whites, blacks, Asians, etc. isn't racism. Speaking up when franchises loved for decades are needlessly changed isn't "far right wing". On the other hand calling for cancellation of accounts and creating hit pieces are harassment - and against TOS for most sites.

Activism to leftists is harassment to the normal definition. But disagreeing with leftists is harassments to them. The benefit of being in control of academia and much of the institution is that you can just do whatever you want with words, you can completely flip two commonly known words to mean entirely different things, and entirely to the benefit of one specific narrative over another.

I was once accused of harassment! I lived in a flat above a couple, who accused me of maliciously, and with malice of forethought: "walking around!" IN my flat. Even when sound monitoring equipment was put in downstairs without my knowledge and showed nothing, they persisted in their complaints, complaints which were always upheld, then again they had a cousin working in the council complaints office, funny how that worked! Harassment in my experience, is any behaviour which a protected person; EG a woman, does not like in a none-protected person EG a man. This case is no different.

I've generally considered myself left-leaning politically, but the extremism of the radical far left is astounding. I'm opposed to the extremism of either side. Most of us are closer to middle, can find common ground, and peacefully coexist without unduly dismissing or intentionally seeking to harm one another. I was raised in a devoutly religious family and have found agnosticism more suits my world-view. I have faith in science and find comfort in the knowledge we have collectively gained. However, I still maintain many of the core philosophical values I was taught in childhood, namely "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Neither of the radical leaning powers seem to abide by this simple philosophy, and seem hell-bent in attempting to destroy the other. All-in-all I enjoyed todays videos and love a fresh perspective which may or may not align with my own. Thank you for the content. Peace, love, and all that jazz.

Same exact thing as in GamerGate 1. Literally 99% of any kind of serious harassment was coming from the anti-GG side, and most of the supposed "harassment" from GG was people saying they disagreed with people online. They literally tried to make fun of how *polite* the GG side was in fact, by referencing a webcomic that showed GG'ers as Sealions politely but firmly asking people to discuss and debate the issue and calling this politeness "sealioning." Never forget: it didn't matter that the anti-GG side was always in the wrong and full of abusers and the GG side was always in the right and behaved rather heroically well considering how unorganized it was - because the media was on their side, the Anti-GG people got to write the narrative. They WILL call you evil no matter how kind you're objectively being, and they WILL use this to attack you relentlessly while portraying any self-defense as abuse.

The Cambridge dictionary definition of "harassment" isn't great, but I think it forms the core. It's a *_behaviour_* rather than just a state of being, and it *_annoys or upsets_* someone. The "disengagement" point made by Oz is probably best covered by "unwelcome" - as that allows the victim to stand their ground, rather than imposing a requirement to flee.
