Who is Luocha and what in the world is in his coffin? This is a question most players in honkai star rail were hoping to find when 1.1 released but unfortunately no further detail about Luocha's lore has been released so far. He is still as mysterious as when he first appeared and now even welt things so too. There are plenty of ideas and in this video we are going to explore who luocha is exactly and what exactly is he hiding in his coffin
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

Its either theres a really huge secret about him they cant even hint at it until the rest of the story is out or hes really just a simple merchant with absolutely no crazy backstory. There is no in between 😂

@@Maevix3142I mean, from what I’ve seen, him and welt were friends and enemies- and uh… 1.3 at the end of the current world quest was hella sus Luocha.

Welt's concerns are very valid, when he says similar looking people usually tread the same path/have the same fate, it still applies to Luocha. Otto went through hell to revive Kallen, and from what I can see, Luocha is interested in immortality too. His ult line, "Eternal sleep is not the end - The dead will return!" to his story/character card mentioning "no dealings concerning the research to Immortality", I think if we apply Welt's concerns, he, too, is trying to revive somebody. It doesn't mean he'll use the same methods as Otto though.

I think for them to show that welt is highly suspicous of him is probably going to pay off some way or its a big red herring, i wanna further expand on how consistent people of different universes/realities are but im not too familiar with honkai impact to make a claim about it

@centralfinitecurve3812 Honestly if you want I could help you with Honkai Impact information if you want for videos, but from what I know, pretty much every expy so far has a consistent or similar fate, it's just that sometimes their way of going about it is different. Idk if you play Genshin but Mona's way of describing fate is the same logic I'm using, they don't have to be the same person, but their fates are still the same; like hi3 Himeko was interested in astrology and stars and wanted to travel, but ended up becoming a fighter because of her dad's death, while hsr Himeko fixed the funny choochoo and is now traversing the stars.

I mean... Even Otto's song, Regression kinda has a line like Luocha's ult, "Life is too long to end at a grave". So maybe he's on the Luofu to try and find a way to remove the Mara from a Xianzhou friend, while letting he or she keep the immortality

As an hsr player currently going through honkai Impact 3rd's story for the first time, I find his line when healing an ally "abyss flower... bloom." Very interesting as from what I know so far, in the lore of Honkai Impact 3rd, an abyss flower can rapidly heal someone at the expense of the user, and interestingly enough, your theory about the vines in the coffin kind of matches up with that description. If the vines in his ultimate drain life force, Luocha might be using that to heal another. Just a thought...

If the rating gun theory of it not being able to rate Emanators is correct. I have a theory. He's probably an Emanator of another Aeon, my guess is the Aeon of Beauty. We don't really know much about that Aeon so this is just wild speculation. His healing could be something akin to "restoring the beauty of form" or something akin to that. This restoration of Beauty/form can also explain his coffin's ability to strip buffs and immortality/Abundance related powers since you could spin it as putting your back to your natural/default state. If he's following a similar path to Otto from HI3, he's probably there to look for resurrection research rather than immortality information. Hopefully he gets his own focused story later on so we can learn more. His presence on the Loufu is probably just a faction/story tease from Mihuyo for a future destination or story line that focuses more on him.

I suspect he could also be one of those appear right after the ending of xianzhou to do something crazy types of character. Like maybe the nameless will clash with the stellaron hunters and when the dust settles thats when luocha emerges and takes action

@@Maevix3142 Maybe. We just don't know right now xD I have a feeling he'll be something bigger later down the line, just not in 1.2, but that's just a gut feeling haha, might be totally wrong

Considering his Character Story Part 2 (through level up), it mentions three interesting things about his homeworld: devils, church, and insanity. These three words are also used in the relic set "Knights of Purity Palace," so, I believe that Luocha is from the same planet as the Knights of Purity, and that whoever is in the coffin is related to The Witch or The Devil mentioned in the relic set.

Bailu is High Elder of Vidyadhara, like Imbibitor Lunae, and Lady Ravager called hin "Scion of Long". High Elders are most close ti Emanators for dead Aeon

In HI3, Otto fight and finally able to resurrect Kallen. His childhood friend that become the one he love. In short, kallen will be executed and otto try to save her with wrong way that almost kill innocent lives. Kallen save them but with her own life. So after that otto went to crazy love mode. He try to save regardless the price. He doesn't care about anything. He make clones like Kallens. But otto still feels empty inside. Then fight happen. I don't fully remember all of them. The kallen clone fight otto. But it is all according to his plan. He get into imaginary tree and his body no longer exist. (That is what i remember) So perhaps Luocha power is related with imaginary tree. As for someone in the coffin, It could be someone else. Luocha also said his name only use in Xianzhou as merchant. In HI3, Otto bring coffin look identical and his hair also appear to be long blonde. He bring the coffin contains kallen to sushang for help. Well. I am quit playing HI3. I just don't remember it all. Just like Jing Yuan, I think Luocha is like Emanator of Aeon. 💁‍♀️

Plot Twist Luocha's coffin contain Otto and Luocha using Otto's Face ,,, joke aside at this point i think the coffin have very simple stuff it is just overhyped at this point ,,, or someone his close friend turned into a coffin (no isekai vending machine pun intended)

Yaoshi is not set up as evil. They are just seen as evil by Xianzhou alliance because of having to pay the price for they gift they thought was free. (Which isn't even Yaoshi's fault, really, Mara is psychological illness) Anyway, Yaoshi is described as blind kindness, gifting their power to all living things, including harmful or parasitic ones. They have good intentions, but completely disrupt and destroy natural order and create abominations through it.

Yeah I do see it that way as in some of my other videos I mention that we only see abundance as 'evil' because we are seeing it through the lens of the xianzhou. Most of the aeons are just sentient puppets of their paths and follow those ideals strictly regardless of what happens so I dont really see any of them as evil much like you see a tornado or a tsunami as evil. I wished they explored this in 1.2 and made it really grey overall but seems they didnt

Gonna be crazy if its Kallen equivalent of this Universe that died but that coffin magically able to resurrect her without her memories .Then loucha and her travels eventually fallin in love but her memories came back then she runs away to fullfil her destiny and loucha will need to stop her.

Maybe the coffin contains the one who behind it all the incident with a big tree the head of sanctus medicus and help them hiding from public thats why noone could caught them Maybe its for Blade to free him from immortality but im not sure

It could be, perhaps his job was to bring the coffin to the ambrosial arbor and after that his job is done and he leaves. Hes still super sus though

My guess: Luocha is Void Archives trying to revive his best friend Otto Apocalypse and is carrying his corpse in the coffin.

After the events of the current story that would be such a cool thing if its the real ting yun or something, jingliu might be possible though given her history I think she would know how to get in without being detected given her knowledge of the xianzhou

While it is true tjat his element is imaginary and he has a striking resemblance i think its too early to call. Its ewually possible that its infact the hsr equivalent of otto instead given that VAs appearance is infact based on that

First of all, Void Archives is an A.I that took control of Otto's clones. The relic's main ability that is able to copy other Devine Keys's abilities and collect information from the Previous Era. Luocha is a expy of Otto during his time in the Shattered Swords visual novels, but took a different path. Their personalities are total opposites as well, VA is pretentious, manipulative and pragmative. Luocha is mysterious, suspicious but also shows more human side than VA.

If it was really Void Archives, Welt would have recognized him. Instead, he only says that Luocha looks like VA and Otto and that's why he thinks he's suspicious.

I still dont think it was jingliu in the coffin but the reveal of them working together was interesting, for some reason I didnt even think about that 😂
