Agreed. I also think that the two of them could have never met because of the land of challenge. I know thats technically not Canon but still, it would make XC2 DLC a bit weird if Rex fights alongside Shulk whereas in reality, they are both fighting each other

I agree about Shulk but I think Rex would definitely choose to stay alive since he would only outlive Morag and Tora by Xeno 3 if Zeke Nia and Pneuma would still all be alive

well i mean, he never explicitly stated he didn't want to live forever. But, he still is technically the creator of the world so it depends on what happens to the people. He could technically end up like Klaus in Xeno 2, kind of just watching over everything.

Another reason I think is more likely tho is that Zeke likely didn't want to be tied down as a king and therefore decided to give up the thrown. I'd also just like to add that whilst Nia was a noble of Gormott. Gormott was under the control of the Ardainian empire which sure means that there king (Can't remember his name, niall or something?) would be the leader instead. I reckon its likely that she was probably chosen by a vote or something

I've made vids on theorys I've had about them in the past but summarise I think it would indeed be nice for them to finally be able to reunite. If the Fog King or the source of it was Galea, then when we defeat her, we may see both of them together as they both ascend. Would make sense with Noah & Mio being Off-Seers and would fit with the game

I'm not sure about them being fine considering it was a gene in there DNA which transformed them. It'll depend how a cure would work. If it weakens that strain of DNA enough that they revert back to normal then yea probs fine but if they simply reverse the process, the the Gene still exists and come into close proximity to ether and **Poof** back to a Telethia again

Well we don't really know if Nia wants to fight or she is only defending her people, a lot as happened since the end of XB2 ......I mean the world from the previous game and Alrest merging into one for example and who knows how many years has been since it happened.

So I do think that they could have survived if this was still the case but I'm unsure of whether or not that would have a lasting effect now that they are gone. It is possible considering Fiora had that power when fighting Dickson at Prison Island which is after Meyneth sacrificed herself so it is indeed a possible reason they are alive still

@@JBspherefreak People have lived to be 120 IRL and even XB1's technology levels are greater than our own, so it's very much possible that the XB1 cast is alive but just really old, especially the nopon since they're confirmed to live a slight bit longer than hunans. Time has clearly stopped in the trailer and there has to be a reason for such a large scale event (and why Noah seems to be fine). I think it's likely that a good amount of time has passed but not as much as the first trailer seemed to imply. Closer to 50 than 100 years. But yeah, this is what I want to believe so it's definitely affecting my perspective.

50 years is what came into my head as well but it could still be more! I think that Noah is undergoing a flashback or vision in that scene and isn't actually witnessing the moments that it happened. I don't see why Melia & Nia would immediately start fighting cos I feel like they would first talk it out

@@JBspherefreak True. It's not in their character to start fighting immediately. That's probably going to be a big part of the game though - excited to see what Monolith have planned for this. The flashback theory makes sense to me. But that also means that whatever happened to make Noah different happened when he was a kid. So it's also possible that we might actually start with them being kids in the prologue (with the recent Ethel scene probably being close to the finale). Essentially the Duban and co scene from XC1.

That'd be cool, I did want some context of both nations at the beginning of the game so something like that would work

I see the argument and the benefit of it going both ways It will be insane to see them both return and help the party out of a bind and we'd then likely see a lot of them (That's assuming there not playable) On the other hand tho, it will diminish my opinions of Noah & Mio as protags as Shulk & Rex will likely take the spotlight from them and in that sense I kinda hope they don't make it in

Which could put a bind in between them even if they are the good guys and possibly noah and mio can snap them out of it reinforcing their roles as the protagonists of the story

I was writing up the planning for my prediction vid which should be coming soon last night and watched Enel's predictions to just see what things I missed and should have talked about (Swear I'm not copying his ideas 😂) and he mentioned an interesting theory that the data for Malos may be within Pyra and that means we still have all 3 parts of the trinity processor. I also have an idea relating to who Mio is as well and if the same was applied to Pyra, it may be in theory possible for Malos to return

Lanz isn't confirmed to be a machina yet I don't believe although I do think he is one also. The High Entia likely could have made those machines by themselves by reverse engineering the technology but wouldn't have been necessary

@@JBspherefreak It is actually confirmed the possibility of Pneuma being around is no longer achievable, not only because Pyra and Mythra split into two but because Pneuma's power is also the result of Klaus giving them full authority over the Beanstalk and their power coming from the Conduit which is no longer around. Which is also evident when Rex looses his Master Driver powers, however we do get hints that being the driver to an Aegis does increase ones lifespan. This being when it was commented on Amalthus has lived a long time even for an Indoline due to being Malos' driver slapping some extra years onto him ontop of his indoline lifespan.

@@JBspherefreak I suspect Pneuma, Alvis, and Malos are still around, but in a less-than-corporeal form. I also believe that Pyra and Mythra now exist independently of Pneuma as their own entities.

That is likely the case. The only way that I know of that these characters MIGHT still be around is if they also became Blade Eaters which I think is plausible for Morag but unlikely for the XC1 crew

Its possible although I don't think both need to each other. I'm pretty sure the driver must die for a flesh eater to be born but I don't think its the other way round and Brighid can still survive as proven by Pandoria. If Brighid does become a flesh eater tho (Maybe morag was wounded or dying of old age) then she should be able to summon blades on her own by taking Morag's aptitude and Sena could have been born from Brighid. Just an idea tho

I agree, he doesn't need to disappear and might just watch from the shadows and see how everything plays out. There are a few ways that we might see him, especially if the truth about the previous games is kept a secret by the rulers to protect the people, in that case, Alvis may show the party visions of what took place in both worlds and how they collided

What if this world is just that new simulation created by Alvis from the information collected by the Aegis? It could explain all the similarities to previous games that shouldn't be based on how those games ended.

That could work but it wouldn't explain Nia for instance. If it was a completely new world with new people, then yea but the fact that Nia is practically confirmed (Same VA and everything) I don't think this is just another dimension

It's a combination of Tech advancements and her appearance. Like you say, it's hard to tell exactly how old Melia looks due to her wearing a mask but we there are other ways to judge it such as her skin but this will ties into the the other reason! The clearer way to see it is the way that Tech has developed. At the end of XC1, the people had virtually nothing. The Mechonis was destroyed and likely the majority of their tech went with it and Alcamoth and most of the High Entia tech was at the Bionis Shoulder so as a civilisation, they weren't very advanced. Fast forward to the trailer and they have that HUGE mech. We see the smaller ones with wheels later in the trailer being compared to Lanz so we can get a scale of size from there and the big one was much much bigger. It would have taken them a long time to develop that tech I think, even with the High Entia & Machina working together and I'd guess that it would be at least 100 years but it could have been even longer. Going back to Melia, if 100 years has passed, she would have aged by 20 years making her around 40 in appearance which lines up with her skin. If it had been another 100 years, she would look close to 60 and I think we would have seen more wrinkles and such or her skin to look older then it does in the trailer so I think that is to long. In conclusion, using both of these methods together, I think around 100 - 150 years has passed. It's not the most scientific method but it was how I came to my conclusion

This is only because Pyra is Mythra. As I understand, Pyra is just a different consciousness that Mythra created so that she didn't have to deal with the outside world. I know we saw them both separate at the end of XC2 but I just dunno if its permanent

It's possible but I don't think he would do that. I don't really see the point tbh 🤔 I think he will more likely still be present in that world but will stay out of all of its affairs. We may even meet him in game at some point and he may shed some light on the world of Aionios

I also ship Pyra and Zeke. Why? Because of the Tantal arc. I felt like Pyra was more important there than some of the other arcs. Of course not the huge aegis centered ones but you get what I mean.

The Pneuma form may be gone tho as someone mentioned and reminded me that Pneuma's powers are directly tied to the Conduit and thus may have been lost now that the Conduit has gone somewhere else. If and only IF the conduit is in the world of XC3 can Pneuma return I think

I also think that Zeke will be alive but I don't think he is that Zeke as somethings don't make sense about him such as the scar. There also isn't a meaningful reason that Zeke would continue wearing his eyepatch that far into the future

I was aware that Zeke wasn't a fan and being interested in the Tantalese throne but that was because he disliked the Tantal was so secluded and secretive of other from other nations and the people had to live in poverty. With a new world and a new chance, I thought he might have been more willing! I forgot that Nia was from a Noble line actually so yea it does make more sense for her to have ascended

Alvis defo didn't make them cos they exist in other worlds that Alvis doesn't such as XC2 & XCX although it does raise questions about where they came from. Maybe they are people who were effected by Klaus' experiment or maybe they lived alongside humanity already before the experiment. We may never know unfortunately 😔

Likely but I think now that every kindom was virtually destroyed when entering this new world, he'd likely just create a new nation and rule over it like he see's fit

Whilst I agree that Rex is unlikely to survive, the conduit isn't gone forever so there is still a chance which is why I stated it was plausible!

@@JBspherefreak can you explain why you believe the conduit may not be truly gone, i am really confused right now since klaus specifically stated it would vanish with him.

So the Conduit is an infinite energy source right, so it isn't like we can just use up that energy. When Klaus pressed the button, the conduit was for some reason bound to him and would not leave this world/reality, when Klaus died, the Conduit no longer required to be here and was transported through space or reality and ended up somewhere else. With that being the case, the Conduit still exists and can therefore still be accessed although it may be very very far away (Please keep in mind that it has been a while since I watched the cutscene where Klaus explains it and so there may be some inaccuracies on what he said, I may make theory vid on it tho soon relating to XC3)

@@JBspherefreak that's an actually klausable theory (pun intended) most of my problems with it will have to wait until we get more information since we aren't sure how did both the civilizations of both games met and if the universes were fused together or Shulk's world and post-ending alrest are on the same planet. Also the Xohar-looking crest on that one "mechon" on the trailer that fires a purple laser could indicated that the conduit may be making a comeback, especially knowing it's from the xc1 faction since the Aegises didn't exist there (except Alvis but no one knew either way)

Indeed, there are defo holes in what I just wrote. My theory making process tends to be making lots of theorys together and seeing which ones still make sense. Chances are that Pneuma can only get her power from the conduit IF it was in the same world/reality but it is possible that isn't the case. Alvis may be a good example. Doesn't he take his power from the Conduit and wasn't he in a different world?

Haha 😂 lemme try and help you with some of those concerns 1) The idea that Melia is now evil is fundamentally flawed. We LITERALLY saw 3 seconds of her (If that was Melia) where as you say she mentions Ouroboros. Whilst I do believe the Keves nation led by her will be an enemy at the start of the game that we have to face, that does not mean that she herself has turned evil. We literally have no idea about the situation with them and why they are at war. I still think that Melia will be the same sweet girl we always knew her has and doing things like hurting others is painful to her and she doesn't want to have to do it which is where hopefully, we will come in 2) Yea, 100 Years + seems about right but it could be much longer. I have to base this off of the person who we believe is Melia but if it isn't and it's her descendent, we could be talking much much longer 3) It is obvious and whilst it defo insinuates that the sword was used to create that wound, we have no evidence to prove that and should not rule out other possibilities. I made a community post on it last week and people came up with many different ways in which that wound may have been made so although it is likely it was used, we can not be certain yet

I cannot disbelieve any of your statements because no one will truly know what is going on until the games are released. But allow me to respond. (Oh, and my bad for it being so long. I just can’t keep my thoughts to myself when it comes to this. I’m passionate… what can I say?) 1) You mention that it is not possible Melia has devolved into an evil person (which I hope you're correct because I loved her development and character in XC1!!). However, I must say this: I try to read between the lines of all the aspects and factors from XC1 and XC2 that I can remember. In a story with lore as profound as this one, we must recognize the small things because they could reveal something more significant. In this case, I will refer to Amalthus' talk with Mythra at the Praetorium. First, he is a supervillain who hated Alrest (the world), and second, he states a very true statement about the flow of time and people. After talking about the 15,000-year painting, he says: "I often wonder if we are growing as a people... or in fact, regressing. What do you think? [speaking to Mythra]” Mythra says: "I'm just amazed at how little you've changed. Has nobody ever wondered about that?" (Unimportant)Amalthus responds: "I am indoline, and the driver of an aegis. -" BUT the most important sentence from this talk is: "Times change, Mythra. So do people." The reason why I quote this is that you state that (IF, of course) 100+ years passed after both XC1 and XC2 universes games had ended [because both Universes take place at the same time], this could be a yellow flag for the fact that, over time, Melia had “regressed” into a negative state of mind due to experiences she had during her rule. This is also because we never actually saw her rule until Future Connected was completed [referring to the final cutscene]. Some other defining, dead-giveaway details is that her mask is identical to the one she had worn during the ritual in XC1 in which she had modernized it later on, she is the only family member with hair that curls at the end without the use of accessories (like the ones Lorithia had), and, because she is related to high entia (so she ages much slower), her body has maintained its figure as she was in her first appearance. One quick thing about her and older Entia: It seems that when Entia grow older, their wings are much larger than younger Entia. Melia’s wings are still the same size as they were at the ending of XC1 Future Connected. Hence why she looks as young as she did. 2) Again, I consider all things put in front of me. Let’s say 100 did pass, as you say. I highly doubt that Melia has had an offspring by this point from the points I’ve mentioned above: She has the exact same hair style and color, she wears a mask completely identical to the one she wore during the ritual, her wings are still short and her body has not aged, and her voice sounds like a more grown-up Melia. She also sounds similar to Tyrea, despite them not having the same parents. Also, the fact that it HAS been 100 years could also support the fact (I am confident to say) that Uraya is confirmed dead. Let us also look at this from a different perspective. Let’s say it hasn’t been at least 100 years. If the story went this way, it would support the fact that (the possible) Melia would still appear as young as she did throughout XC1. What it wouldn’t support is that most of the crew (excluding rare blades) from XC2 are dead-Rex, Morag, Tora, etc. What I think is that everyone from XC1 AND XC2 could still be alive because ‘literally’ throwing away characters like that would be totally unnecessary without explanation. We must remember the fact that XC1 and XC2 take place at the same time-both universes happen at the same time, as Klaus says, “exist side by side” and the fact that Zanza in the XC1 universe died at the same time that Klaus died due to their connection between universes (not confirmed but basically proven). How both universes have become one is still totally over my head because the trailer showed nothing to back any statement up. We just know that both universes are now one with each other somehow. I’ve also thought that, if this was the case, Pneuma can finally see her second brother, Ontos aka Alvis (not confirmed but basically proven). 3) Now, for the withering Uraya body. I didn’t imply that Uraya was sliced like butter from the Mechonis sword, nor did I think that. I can only think of a few outcomes, such as: Uraya had gotten sliced by a smaller entity because the horn that extends over his body is not damaged, implying that the Mechonis sword may have not been the weapon used, or that he simply died an aged titan as Mor Ardain with a weapon not being involved at all, but doesn’t explain the reason why it is literally butchered. Questions are raised proving this: What could be big enough to wield the sword besides the Bionis or the Mechonis? If there was, what is its origin? Or: What entity has the power to raise the Mechonis sword (IF Uraya had gotten sliced by it (which is REALLY stretching it))? Now I am sure that I had missed some examples from XC1 and XC2 to back up some stuff I said. Oh, and I should state an unfortunate fact: I had watched and played XC2 before watching XC1. I watched XC1 days after seeing the XC3 reveal trailer. So many things came together that it was obvious what connections there were to the second game such as: the link between Klaus and Zanza, Ontos the third Aegis is Alvis, Shulk being a much better voice actor, etc. Only one thing didn’t make sense: How did Alvis (Ontos) know about his origin before he was even born? Not to mention, in a different universe. Anyway, I was thinking about uploading another video about this stuff when I get the chance. The biggest mystery is why Nia changed her name to Mio… AND WHERE IS PYRA AND MYTHRA??? :((( istg if they aren't returning, I'm 3 starring it on release.

1) Very true and must be considered ofc. I don't mean that we'll necessarily have the same Melia as we had back in FC but as like you say, some events could have made her change and grow to be a less compassionate person. There is also the term of "Power is Corruption in itself" referring to how in most cases, possessing power tends to change a person from who they were before and now that Melia has the Power of the entire Keves nation at her disposal, she will likely have changed as well. What I am referring to however is that ones heart does not change so easily and I do believe that even if she is sour about everything now, she will go back to her old self within this game, possibly due to something we do for her or the nostalgia of her old adventures! 2) Agreed for the most part. Whilst I have considered Eunie being the child of Melia as a plot point for this game, I don't believe that it will be the case. A pregnant Melia could be possible tho! I agree with you that Melia sounds different. Different to the point that I am not 100% convinced that that is Melia speaking or her at all. We saw the use of body doubles for Melia in the first game so perhaps this is a stand in whilst Melia gives birth to her child (Probably not just an idea) It is also possible that it was less then 100 years. I believe that the minimum that we could argue tho is 50 years. The Tech that both nations have is insane and with both sides baso starting from scratch, it would take some time to develop it to what it has got. I don't think this would be the best option however as having almost the whole cast capable of returning would raise many questions and could take away focus from the new characters. I hope from a narrative point that the majority of characters are indeed deceased in this game but they can ofc get mentioned throughout the story I have given my own opinion on how I believe both of the worlds combined and merged in my prediction video and whilst that does have some flaws in itself, it sits better in my mind personally and makes a lot more sense then some other things people are saying. When I make my theorys, I try to get into the mind of Monolith based on the previous things they have done and thats what leads me to believe certain things over others 3) So Uraya could have been wounded in many ways and if the sword was used, I believe it would have been due to the Fog. I can picture masses of amounts of Fog gathering in one place and creating something capable of wielding and moving the Mechonis sword. Another counter argument to this tho is that the Mechonis Sword has not got greenery growing on it and this would have likely have been disturbed through this action. This then suggests that it either happened a very long time ago OR it was created by something else entirely To clarify, have you actually played XC1 or just seen all of the cutscenes? There is extra context that you will defo be missing if you haven't played it yet so a let's play would be recommended. As for how Alvis knows so much, assuming that like you say he is Ontos, the he would obide by the same rules as Pneuma and Malos where their crystals receives the data of all of the blades and all of the other info passed through them. Considering that he was also at one point just part of the trinity processor, he likely could gather info from their quickly and understand his situation Go for it! I think you are a bit confused. Nia & Mio are likely not the same person. The Japanese voice actors for the party members have been confirmed and Mio's is NOT the same as Nia's. We know that Nia's is returning tho as her VA was defo in at the end of this trailer meaning that Mio is a completely new person. The only exception to this (The chances are slim, slimmer then children in africa) is that Mio is another personality within Nia like how Pyra is another version of Mythra. Other then that, they are two COMPLETELTY different people although they are also defo connected and related in someway. Once again, I talked about this in my prediction video and I will discuss it more in my upcoming video about Mio specifically but they are likely not the same person (Also excuse the above joke. It is not there to make fun of everyone and is simply there for humour. I have a very dark sense of humour as you might be able to tell)

Yea, If Nia & Melia are the leaders of both nations then they are for sure alive and a DLC with those two would be cool but how would it work? Literal new party members who you can play as?

@@JBspherefreak maybe they can do a special dungeon that has rewards, bosses from xenoblade chronicles 1 an 2 that you can fight again also shulk, elma and rex can only be playable in that dungeon only that how I would do it

Something like that could for sure work, they'll have a lot of options this time around for DLC so we'll see what direction they take

I to in the trailer first thought I head Rex's voice but I don't think it his. Pretty sure now that that was the voice of Noah. Rex may still be in tho and will just have a different role to fill in this game

Shulk's voice actor returned in XB2 to play Klaus. So it doesn't have to mean the voice is for the same character.
