i dont say this often but i think of the word "Perfect" is made for him. His personality- He's so down to earth, young but wise and seems that he knows what the important in his career is and he tries to focus on his aim and gladly steps up more for being better player. He's so passionate and ambitious. i love him so much! This is so enjoyable interview. Micky is our own❤

VDV recruitment by Spurs is honestly a steal. 40 million of a defender who plays as a top 3 defender in the league. Unbelievable. His pace, defending, decision making, passing, and personality is just perfect. His pace especially is a cheat code

I think I would give it to Dias as a defender he is better, Stones is that Rolls-Royce Defender that clubs want but dias is the wall teams needs anticipation, football IQ and leadership Stones is 2nd for me

Your statement doesn’t really make sense. If Dias is better defensively then by definition he’s the better CB. The CB primary role is to defend. If you’re saying John Stones is a better player that’s different but CB it’s clearly Dias

Thanks Michael, obviously I agree with you about City players, I'm a Man City fan from Manchester. Dias is the best defender, and he marshalls the defence. Stones is also WC and he can move forward with the ball like a midfield player.

Watched him live first day of the season at Brentford, he eats up the ground like a demon, immensely imposing in stature. Very impressive. Would love to see him have a go at the 400 metres rather than the 100, I reckon he would clock a seriously impressive time over that distance.

It will be interesting to see who koeman will pick for his euro squad. He’s always had injuries there since stepping in, with botman timber van de ven ake de ligt etc. But imagining all those names will be fit for euro..damn that’s a tough choice. Netherlands play 5 at the back, i dont think koeman will take more than 6-7 cbs at max. Choices are van de ven and ake for the left, botman van dijk and de vrij for the middle, and de ligt timber Geertruida and maybe even van Hecke at brighton or schuurs at torino. I see 1 or 2 really good cbs missing out.

Does not change the fact that he is the best French Defender. There was a time Upamechano was the next best thing as well but look how that turned out. The hype around Saliba is warranted. Varane has improved Man.U but not as much as Saliba did for Arsenal. Facts are facts. And stats dont mean everything.

There’s a myriad of great cbs, mostly in the prem but I wouldn’t classify any of them as the best in the world. Those three or so years of VVD was peak great cb. He’s fallen off a peg since injuries and age but he’s still a good player.
