I think Niall’s career is the most impressive. He was the most slept on in 1D. Niall never had solos in singles (except Little Things but they would shut his mic on stage when he would sing it). Harry is super talented and I understand why he has all of this success but he had a massive push. He was the most promoted in 1D. He had solos and he was always push to the front. Niall want to number 5 of the group to number 2 solo. Harry was already 1 of the group and is now number 1 solo. Niall just has work so hard to get where he is now and Harry has work hard to keep that position.

Thing is, Louis saved 1d from going extinct in 2012. He was just 21 years old when he made the decision to let go of some of the biggest songwriters in the pop industry and shifted their sound from bubblegum pop to adulthood rock when he was SO young. He even said none of the other boys showed any interest in wanting to start writing their own music and babygirl, he wrote ALL their best top singles. He made songwriting HIS thing. He brought personality and color to that boring band with his flamboyant babie energy. Even all the boys have said how they’d be the most boring band without him. Can't sing? Honey, please, he sounds like an actual angel. He proved how much the band needed him when he lost his mic during Rock Me, none of the boys could hit that almost hiccup effect, with the gentle whine in the back of his throat. He has such a unique voice, don't ignore how he carried the vocals in the band. Ex: during the live acoustic version of SOML in japan his voice stood out from everyone so distinctively, helping lead the boys and keep them in rhythm. Just because his voice is different, doesn't mean it's bad. It's sick how everyone paints him as this "laddy lad macho man" when he's the softest human being who doesn't mind being vulnerable and genuinely cares about all his fans, always giving credit to his mom for his natural lovable demeanor. All his close friends and team describe him as shy and give him the cutest nicknames like: little legend, la louis, lulu, diamond, blu lou boi, louis-louis, & honey

Louis's album is a MASTERPIECE literally THE BEST SONGS. Also I went to his Barcelona concert and his voice is WAY BETTER live and he is really funny and familiar. He deserves better

zayn honestly is underrated, imagine him with a good management he would be all over the charts, and he almost is doing that without any promotion. his music style honestly is amazing and vocals give me chills. but because he isnt doing any appearances or any thing like that many people forget about him. which isnt that bad i love that he is very chill , and its crazy how good hes doing with barely any promotion, i just wish id get some more content just bc i love him haha harrys music is amazing and he is so dedicated and passionate, his music is different and almost gives an audience a "connection" to him , and obviously he has amazing vocals , so i think he does deserve all this hype, i am a great fan of him and it he honestly just is himself in his music which i thing is what stands out, he doesnt try so hard to be in a catogory or to fit into the idea we have of pop music, yet he still manages to attract so many audiences which is amazing. he is incredibly talanted not just with his singing, his promotion is amazing. after all he did create a whole island just to release one single, smart and dedicated. niall was very underrated in the band, i think he has had the most improvement and to me i really love his music, even if he only mainly does slow songs, they have meaning and are lyrically beautiful. he was my favorite from the band because of his personality and to be honest i think he is one of the most successful currently under harry. his management and promotion team are amazing , but he still shows that he mostly does music for his fans and for him , he is very genuine and humble and the least problematic. he is outgoing respectful and constanly uses his platform for so many good things, he is a feminist and when not doing music he is killing it in sports, honestly he has it all , so if you like his music you will like everything about him. louis again is very underrated. he has gone through so much lately which can be the reason why wasnt releasing anything for a while. he is so strong and is now almost ready to release his first album after everything he has gone through. i am honestly so proud of him and his voice is actually incredible, it is so unique and gave the band some balance. just search the clip when they were singing rock me and louis lost his mic, the band sounded so bland and different it really showed his effect. he is so humble about everything and is very very genuine and true to his fans you honestly cannot dislike him. while others dont like his voice, to me it is so unique and beautiful , he also has great lyrics so i am excited for his first album release. liam used to have great vocals in the band, other than harry and zayn, liam also used to get the most solos because of his singing abilities. when going solo, i think he lost himself or didnt really know what kind of music he wanted to make. everything about his music doesnt seem very true to him and he tries hard to be somebody he isnt which is quite cringy , he wants to be way too mainstream and not really the good kind. other than his music, he has made very controversial actions and said alot of things, it seems as if he really wants attention or something and lately he has been very dissapointing. i wont really rank the members but he is my least favorite.

1. Harry - Caught the buzz of the music industry and is taking huge risks with retro-influenced experimental soft rock. Smart marketing team, great fashion, and genuine connection with his audience. Needs a major hit. Fine Line really caught the imagination of everyone. 2. Zayn - Most talented of the group. Has released an insane amount of music in such a short period of time. If you compared the best 22 Harry and Zayn songs side by side Zayn wins hands done. Zayn needs to go live and connect with his audience. Such a missed opportunity. Icarus Falls was a brilliant album but need to be trimmed and promoted. 3. Niall - Really the surprise success of the band. No one really gave Niall any respect until he went solo. The George Harrison of One Direction in the shadow of Zayn and Harry. Niall writes beautiful songs and is really himself. Let Zayn be uber cool and Harry be trippy and Niall should stay true to his Irish folk rock sensibilities. He works hard and will make his own path to success. 4. Louis - Has been surprisingly successful chasing the singles route, but his voice is made for Britrock not EDM or Pop. Finally Louis had found his sound with Kill My Mind and smart clothes that fit and look cool. Most talented writer from the group which will be a huge plus for solo success. Keep away from the ballads and put out more British rock n roll. Opportunity for a new wave of edgy music and taking the Oasis legacy into the the 2020s. 5. Liam - Poor Liam is trying too hard. He has the talent and the voice and works so hard, but doesn't know himself. Is desparate for chart success but that comes when you make music you are honest about. Start your own side adult pop "Il Divo" group with a sound and look and personality. You can be as big as any of the others. Final advise...regroup for one unbelievable double album and world tour. That's really solidify all your solo careers.

Zayn’s voice is absolutely stunning with the unanimous high notes, healthy and beautiful falsetto, smokey low notes, impeccable agility, and engaging and strikingly powerful belts. Not to mention his stylistic modulations that add a great texture and color to his high timbre. He’s got a very distinctive character (Bradford Bad Boy persona, tattoos and all) that distinguishes him from the other band members, too. And we can’t forget how absolutely attractive this man is. However, his management team is FRUITLESS. He pays for his own music videos OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET. His record label (RCA) does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to promote his albums. Artists that have formerly worked with RCA left bad reviews saying the same thing. Top all of that off with his high levels of anxiety and depression, not to mention our racist society that LEECHES off mediocrity and vapidity. Word.

louis - he has such a calming voice and the songs he writes are just amazing. he is a GOOD singer too. maybe not quite the range of zayn but is still good. smoking might have something to do with that idk. but he knows how to WRITE a hit zayn - such a beautiful voice!! but honestly, don't see much of him unless it's a big hit on the radio. I couldn't tell you the names of any of his albums but everyone else I can. talent GONE TO WASTE! needs to get his stuff out there more harry - incredible voice and is not afraid to step out of the box. he is obviously doing what he loves. He sounds the same live as he does on radio liam - his songs make him seem like the horniest person ever. but I think he is trying to reach a certain image of people like JT but he has missed the mark. I have never disagreed with a comment section more lmao. Louis' voice is literally so calming and soft and it makes me feel so relaxed. Every time I listen to his voice I literally get chills all over my body. Maybe his vocal range and his vocal technique aren't as high and good as Zayn's or Liam's but I like the sound of his voice better. I guess it's all about preferences though.

Niall was always my favorite member and my favorite current solo artist out of one direction. I think when 1D broke up everyone knew that Harry was going to be the one but I think no-one realized that he'd get to the level he has gotten too and do what he has done. Like this man, wow I love him.

Its 2019 and people are still calling Louis forgettable and untalented when singing. Louis has always been the base singer in the band. If you go through the songs he is always harmonising and during their concerts, his mic was always turned down because he does have a power house but he also has the best voice that harmonised hence we he didn't get much solo action.

Zayn just needs to get better management and better music. if he did, he'd be as popular as Harry. they could both dominate the music industry in their own spaces and be able to co-exist.
