Zidane had a magical ball control and many moments of artistry, however Henry had all that and was consistent, quick, better at scoring goals and scored many sublime goals too. Henry was unplayable in his prime. Overall, Henry had more desirable attributes which make him a better player.

But part of his lack of success vs his club form, is that they always centered the team around Zidane, they played slow, not taking advantage of Henry's pace. But still Henry retired as France's all time leading goal scorer. While I agree Henry wasn't the most important player when he won the Champion's league, you neglect to mention that Zidane played on virtual all-star teams with Madrid.

Zidane highly overrated, didn’t show up for half the games throughout seasons and popped up here and there during some games like the one vs Brazil. Barely averaged 5 assists and 5 goals. That’s extremely poor for a guy who starts and runs the midfield. Compare him to guys like Ronaldinho who single handedly destroyed Madrid’s galactico team in Madrid, while the like of Zidane were a ghost in those matches.
