Hello! The first episode of many! And it marks the start of my journey to Japan. I am going to document major points on the path. I'd love for you to be a part of it all.
Happy you found me,
Jack Merrett
"Who is Borderlink?"
In this episode, we take a closer look at Borderlink, a Japanese Assistant Language Teaching (ALT) dispatch company. Founded in 2000, Borderlink has been providing English education to schools and institutions throughout Japan for over two decades.
The company's mission is to provide highly-qualified native English speaking teachers to schools in Japan, with the goal of fostering an appreciation for the English language and culture among Japanese students. Borderlink's teachers come from all over the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, and are carefully screened and selected to ensure they have the skills and experience necessary to be effective educators.
One of the unique features of Borderlink is that they offer a comprehensive package of services to their teachers, including help with finding housing, obtaining a work visa, and even providing Japanese language classes. Additionally, Borderlink provides ongoing support and guidance to their teachers throughout their time in Japan, ensuring a smooth transition to life in a new country.
Borderlink has a reputation for being a reliable and professional company that places the needs of its teachers and students first. They have a wide range of clients including elementary, junior high and high schools, as well as private language schools and international schools.
In this episode, we will be talking to a few teachers who have worked with Borderlink and hear about their experiences, what it's like to teach English in Japan, and how Borderlink has supported them during their time in Japan. We will also hear from a representative from Borderlink about the company's history and philosophy, as well as the process for becoming a teacher with Borderlink.
Tune in to learn more about Borderlink, and how they are making a difference in the lives of Japanese students and teachers alike.

I was always told to Stop Worrying About These Garbage English Teaching Companies while I'm abroad in Japan and while I have The Late Night Snack but they say Rosehappa and that Thanatos Instinct Rising would see me through. I always wondered how to get the best (teaching) Job I Japan and when Teaching English in Japan | What Is The Best Company. What is happening with the Japan border? borderlink japan is good! Zack In Japan as well? Is it like shivaasaemeow, KansaiKaiser - Midwest in the Far East Travels, VAN IN JAPAN, or New Yorker in Japan? I hope so!
When I lived in Chicago I wanted to bring the Midwest in the FarEast so I could see A Day in The Life of an ALT. but during the JET Program Interview: WHAT DID THEY ASK??? Things about: JET Program, ALT, Assistant Language Teacher, Japan, Japanese, Teaching in Japan, Teaching Japan, Teaching english in Japan, Teaching English Japan, Working in Japan, Working Japan, JET, Jack to Japan, Borderlink, AET, Interac, AEON, Nova, Abroad in Japan, Update, daily life of an alt, life of an english teacher" ,"english teacher in japan" ,"teacher in japan", Japan Vlog, Borderlink Japan, alt in Japan, alt Japan, filipino english teacher in japan, interac japan, and the japan border update? or no?

Hi Sir! Thanks for this video. I heard that other ALTs from other companies like Interac and Altea don’t really teach a full schedule like 8 hrs a day. There are days where they only have a few classes. Is it the same in Borderlink? Appreciate your response. 💜

okay, I can confirm that you will be there the whole work day, but may not have classes in every period slot. you can do other work or your own work in those in-between periods.

I've got my first interview with them tonight (since that's day time in Japan). I'm a bit of an introvert so I'm kind of nervous tbh. But I've been wanting to go to Japan for many years now, I even learned quite a bit of the language. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.

Hi jack, I had a quick question regarding the COE and getting the visa specifically for when you send your passport in. Do you ever have to go to the embassy/consulate physically throughout the process from submitting the initial application to when you land in Japan. Can you mail the documents/passport to the embassy/conslute. The reason I ask is the closest embassy to the state I'm in is a 6 hour drive so I'm trying to get a feel for things. I appreciate any and all help!
